Your right as usual, too dark to take a. Picture. The belt was all the way down on both pulleys. I'll try to check the number tomorrow. Belt #828-22.5-30 is on right now, this is too tight. Pulled down on both pulleys.

Thank you, the boss slides to the end of the splines & stops. I believe I tighted the variator too tight, even with the washer on, I lightly filed the splines, & was able to remove it. I had ordered the belt last year, will order a gates 828-22.5-30 tomorrow .

Well the starter turns freely, mounted back in & turns engine over, does not start yet. Have charger on it will check in two hours. If I can not start, will remove belt & Varator, then try. Thank you for your help. 2 hours latter, removed belt & started engine. Belt is too tight will order another. Have another problem now, can not remove the 1" sleeve to get the back plate off the varator. Filed the groves on the outside, still can not remove the 1" sleeve?

This should have been named "Always something ". Used the rear tire & turned several times to re position the belt, Can now turn the variator by hand, still kind of tight, but moving. OK the starter does not turn over, even jumping the Solenoid. battery is 12.8 volts. Guess I need to remove the starter & check it out. Looks like two 10 mm bolts holding the starter. Any other suggestions? I do like the help, you all have been great!

Cleaned out old grease, wiped down everything. Roughed up the pads on the clutch. Every thing looked smooth, No scratches, lite grease on the shaft & tighten up. New belt looks tight. The Honda clone 244, 5" on the front. Yep, too tight, won't allow engine to turn over, will have to order another belt.

9/5/14 had an electrical problem, wire broke off on hot side off solenoid . Fixed added fresh gas & started, ran to warm up engine Had to set idle at 1800 rpm, checking wot at 7500 rpm, Boom! Belt discentagred , remove cvt cover & clean out. Will have to remove every thing to clean. Any ideals or info will be taken. Thank you for your advise. Note: when running on the stand, ran smooth through rpm range, just had trouble setting idle, it was too low. Well cleaned out everything, including the inside & cover. Got new belt on, looks kind off tight! Charging the battery right now, will try to start latter.

Finally a couple of days off, tore off plastic, pulled out carb, & inspected. Must have been a very strong assembler, The screws were very tight! Found mini bugs & rubber inside carb & main jet. Found a 106, replaced with a 122, I'm going to a better air filter. Cleaned & reassemble, will replace with new gas & try to start. Have on battery charger Since April.

Replaced fuel pump, got good gas flow, drained carb to check for water. Cannot fire up or start. Started motor cycle shopping , HD sportster 883L. Got financed, scoot will sit for now. Drained gas Out of tank & carb, very disappointed, really wanted a liter cycle.

Went for a ride today, 3 miles from house, scoot died, have power, checked for fuel, no gas at carb, remove fuel filter, go direct to carb after dropping Fuel line to fill with gas. Start ran 1 min. Died again, would not start. Fuel pump? Have 12 volt fuel pump on hand, will hook up & run tomorrow. Yes tank is full of gas!

#2115, thinking on silver with auto, + any upgrades. Hurts too much to work clutch in heavy traffic, guess I'm getting older. Plus doing stupid things when I was younger. Oh thanks Alley!

Today I try to start, a click at the silinol. 13.8 volts at battery, silinol. Check opposite side of silinol when start button is pushed, 13.8 volts. Tap on starter with my small hammer, starts right up. Connections are tight. Is the starter locking up for some reason? This is a real pia!, when I get in from work & ride! Note: cut out the old style fuse, & replaced with a new mini fuse & holder, Soldered up both connections. Right now all plastics are off, will test some and back to work!!! Will be glad when my Eilo Gets delivered!
