Go to the end of any assembly line and see the results, even in Japan. Any bike will malfunction, that's why they check them. You're just being unreasonable Luke. People here are having great success with their China scoots, 40,000 miles on Automotoguy's Baccio and 35,000 on the Automoto. My 50cc bike has gone Interstate, in addition to a few long rides and been trouble free for four years.
You still haven't answered Jim.

No I'm not signing up. I know a scam when I see one. Two websites, $50 for shipping and documentation all the way from China? This site makes ATV Discounters look like the Boy Scouts.

Check with DMV. Here in NY my 50cc bikes have transferable registrations. I handed in the MSO and got no titles. I sold one last year and the registration said, "Transferable document." Otherwise it only costs a mere $400 to get a new title on clean VIN numbers.

Alright Jack. I must confess I used this as a tactic to watch Luke squirm. Now that I see he's just pretending to be a jerk over at Doc to get attention, I'm satisfied. We can all enjoy his report on his trip to New Mexico when it comes. See you later.

Guys how many times has a thread/subject came up like this? What does it accomplish? Only response to this is no person is working for any one? I don't even get paid! ;D scooterdoc.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=150cc&action=display&thread=8244Why would this disappear? If and only if it breaks the rules of PB's and just plain common decency rules of getting along. I do believe people can have a discussion of the pros and cons of both types of scooters, just like you can have a discussion on the many ways to cook sweet potatoes? Some say they like them baked while others prefer them fried? So I'm open to a "friendly" discussion on why or why not you like/dislike the scooters you do/don't own/ride. Want to have a pissing match and hang people on the cross then by all means go here: scooterdoc.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=talk&action=display&thread=8163Please do me a favor though, find someone besides myself and Doug to hang, we've had our share so to speak. JR I agree absolutely Jack. I think all your people should read the "Pissing Match" at Doc. Especially the part where Luke refereed to Rapid Jim as a Drug Dealer. Imagine a man who serves the public so well being maligned as a " purpose to piss off the three stooges" But honestly Jack? How did Luke convince you " i have finally convinced magoo that chinese scoots are junk". Did he convince you too?

.scooterdoc.proboards.com/inde....2#ixzz2a2D29ocb" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.scooterdoc.proboards.com/inde....2#ixzz2a2D29ocbyes, you are right they are well assembled BUT the materials used to manufacture each parts are very poor in quality , low grade and the tensil strength is very low. for example, the crank case of a chinese scooter is manufactured using same materials as the aluminum pots and pans in your kitchen. isnt that crazy?!! some vital parts are made out of melted clips from cans of soda. can you imagine riding that scooter at high speed??? youll probably end up in the morgue. omg!!! god forbid! some are really fascinated with those chinese scooties because they are dirt cheap, but if you think of its quality you end up paying more and end up being screwed !! japanese scoots, especially the yamahas are manitenance free. my morphous doesnt need to be maintained, YES i changed the cvt grease, oil seal , trans oil EVENTHOUGH it doesnt need to be changed, its just that i want those parts new. Its just me. otherwise it can run forever. kz said that i always re grease my cvt assembly, there was no need tho, i just want to replenish the old grease. you can actually buy a chinese scooter provided you need to sign up for AMA or AAA motorcycle roadside assistance.Says Luke.

Not exactly .startribune.com/business/146343685.html?refer=y" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.startribune.com/business/146343685.html?refer=yA little dated isn't this story? Polaris to shut down Wisconsin plant New facility to open in Mexico in 2011 Story by Staff, May. 21, 2010The Osceola plant will produce the new, all conquering, Thunder Stroke 111 for Indian and the new, 21st Century designs from Victory. It's not like they're GM abandoning Oldsmobile, Pontiac and Saturn, shifts in manufacturing are an ugly fact of life. Spirit Lake, Iowa and the Minnesota continue to grow. It later kept some workers on in Osceola for motorcycle and snowmobile engine production and currently has about 140 people at the facility.Harley even tried to shutter its York, PA operation for awhile. .jsonline.com/business/harley-plant-undergoes-whirlwind-of-change-vc4srit-146568165.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.jsonline.com/business/harley-plant-undergoes-whirlwind-of-change-vc4srit-146568165.htmlWhere partially assembled bikes once crawled along a conveyor belt with overhead hooks, and parts were stacked to the ceiling, there's now a production line with more than 100 robotic smart carts traveling on five rows of thin magnetic tape. The factory's 62 job classifications have been slashed to five, and the number of salaried positions has been cut in half to 150 people. The changes are especially evident because of the demolished buildings where Harley once made motorcycle parts that now are outsourced to other companies.

It also wouldn't hurt to put Seafoam or some carb cleaner in the gas tank. It will clean up any varnish or crud on the float needle and prevent future issues.

A Good Deal

In Cookees shop people are looking for twist and go. This bike is different than a regular bike and much easier to ride. If the reliability I've found in my Cub clone is present here it will be virtually trouble free. Not only that but valve adjustments take minutes since you don't have to remove a seat ( like I do ) or a flock of body panels to get at the valves.
Really Alley I wasn't telling people, so much for the usual cast here, but for the legions of lurkers that scan this and other forums looking for info on cheap rides. As I said, you know where, if I could sell my wife on the need for a fifth bike it would be in my garage in a minute.

A few more details T. Does it crank over but not start? Does it not crank with the starter at all?
