I thought of that and looks ok...It really seems to be coming out out of the starter area or the pressed in pin next to it??

I have a oil leak that I have been trying to trace down. It shows up as if the cvt is leaking but with the rear wheel removed it seems to be from around the starter? I checked the oil ring seal on the starter and it seems fine and a "snug" fit.....hum....when I cleaned everything off it seems to come back from that area? 2 stroke oil as the engine has none...the resvoir is forward on this scoot and followed the feed line all looks good...any ideas?

I have to say that John has help me with the very problem he has described "bad parts" from other vendors. I can't even tell you how frustrating it is to buy parts to fix a problem and then find out thses parts are "bad" Save yourself the time and trouble and use John's parts. He has been patient helping me along the way and really understands the "real need" here.
Thanks again !
Dennis

Well with the help of everyone here I have finally got this worked out.....A BIG word of advice is to buy your parts from someone that knows they WORK ! Its tempting to find a "deal" and buy this here and that there but it caused so much trouble for me ...with all the good wiring diagrams that I was given it should have been easy but the parts were the issue. A big thanks to JR and tvnacman !
11 pole stator/mag/reg setup is sweet !

Ok the original flywheel was 89mm the stator I know have from John ( tvnacman ) measured 88.28mm and the flywheel I purchased from another vendor measured 95mm ID......so what is the correct gap we are looking for?....these seem to vary ?

so heres a thing I was thinking about...what is the ID measurement of the flywheels out there? I know that the one I removed ( 8 pole ) and the one I ordered that was supposed to be 11 pole but has 8 magnets is different .....so what is correct ? even though they both fit over the stator ?

I did the test and with the black wire off or grounded and rev'd up it made no difference...... measuring the dcv
looks like I am going to need a new R/R 7 wire

Also my testing has 20-25 acv between yellow stator leads (unplugged) from harness @ idle and 7acv, 7acv, 15acv with harness plugged in @idle and using green to yellow... this is wrong from what I have been told I thought it was 15acv, 15acv, 7acv

I started with a 8 pole system that was not working and went to the 11 pole swap. I replaced the stator/flywheel/7 wire r/r as it turned out the stator tested "bad" and I replaced with yours. Now the tests are improved but not there yet... I plulled the new flywheel off after reading up on them and I have 8 magnets from what I have learned I thought that I should have 11? John I have pm you also......
