Thanks for the info but were way beyond that now. I have converted to 11 pole stator and a 7wire R/R to get the most out of the system I can...but still have some issues

well guys this is where i'm at now.....installed the 11 pole stator and flywheel ( not to hard) I have install a 7 wire r/r and wired it up per instruction here. But still having issues. I have tested my stator leads ( 3 yellows) and have 3.6v ac at idle and 4.6v dc seems way low from your info on installing this system. I thought I was to see 14v ac on 2 leads and 7v on the third?.....I have rewired headlight using the white lead from the r/r harness ( choke wire) and it has a hard time keeping the relay locked as the voltage is weak 6-8 volt area. When I test at the battery I can maybe get 13.2v twisting the throttle up ...with headlights off(unplugged) ....I ran a decticated green wire from the stator to r/r thinking that maybe this was not to be at ground but I tested the unplug lead from the stator and green in ground coming from the new 11 pole stator. ....I'm really having a difficult time here ....I am using the stock rukus ign switch that I have feed a battery lead to direct from battery then turn on the black wire from the harness to old switch. ....When bike is running I have to use thumb swith to shut it off as it won't shut off with the key ....I have the choke unplugged also ...it seems to have affect on how it is idling ?? possibly due to low voltage?
Just tring to throw out the things i'm thinking

Ok, just wanted to be sure before I bought something I don't need. I will check out the tech section for the info there. How about the best place to buy these parts??

I recieved my puller today and no can continue work on my gy6 ruckus swap. I am going to convert my charging system to a 11pole and my question is with my flywheel work or do I need to swap it out. I found out today after removing my flywheel that I have a 8 pole stator........
also I believe I need a 7wire R/R......

thanks so much for the help here . I guess I need to start with a flywheel puller and check some measurements.

My grounds are good covered that inside and out. I guess my luck with ending up with an "oddball" harness set up really made this tough. My thought right now is to go with the 11pole stator and new RR and some more rewiring... I think I would like to keep my lights setup the way they are and maybe swap in a new harness to make this easier to work on in the future. What do you suggest for the parts?

I have 5 wires coming out of the Stator.......I checked the ac out on the white to ground and the yellow to ground and had 20+ volts while cranking
Scooter was a "retro" style Eagle

The scooter I used is a Eagle 150 ( Best I can figure) I have measured the red/white lead and had like maybe 6.8-7.5 volts. I thought that I saw a picture of a posting here that someone recieved whith a GY6 motor they bought the same RR I have.If I need to change out the stator/RR I'm not against it to have a good charging system and the ability to power up a gps. I just was on a mission to start with a working swap before changing to much.

its the RR from the donor and so is the harness. the RR has a 6pin plug with 4 wires in it and the separate red/white with the female bullet connector the wires in the plug are pink, green, red, yellow the harness has the other end of this plug so that was easy but I still followed them through the harness but not sure where the "xtra" wire goes? I did try ign power but still don't have the voltage increase to 14.2 that I'm looking for.I pulled the plug on my stock ruckus lights so the draw is min 13.2 to 13.3 is the reading when idle or rev....

my yellow and white go to my r/r and the white actually turns to pink in the harness... the red wire at the r/r has batt voltage with key off but the red wire with the white tracer(bullet connector) is the one in question as to where that is to go?

I have been struggling with this a while now and going to need some advice. I used a harness from the donor scooter I bought for the engine . I really did not think I would have any problems but I don't seem to be charging. I have a 5 wire R/R it has a 4 pin plug and a separate red/white lead bullet connector. The other leads are pink, green, red, yellow. I have done tests to the cdi wires, and stator that seem to be fine. I have 5 wires out of my stator red/black,white,green,yellow,blue/white My understanding.. green....groung blue/white....trigger red/black....power to cdi white yellow ....are the ac gen ?
Is there a test for these two wires?
On the R/R the 4 pin plug was easy enough but the bullet conn I searched had no other lead in the harness. I feed it 12v switched
Any thought?
