tv, it's alright.
Like I said before; Harbor Freight is ok, when one is in need of a specific tool very soon. I purchased chinese tools, & other off brands to get me by before…
I still use that chinese body hammer tool kit even today. Just because one hammer broke don't mean I should quit using it. I just don't use it for the "detail" work.
We all purchased with a "cheep-o" tool @ one time or other. _

Thanks for the great input guys. Feeling glad I signed up here.
Before reading these comments, I was cruising Ebay & other online places, last night for about 5 hours. & started get an understanding of what you all mean here.
Geuss it looks like I might have to get a set of calipers, & see about mic-ing stuff as I pull it. ----- So anyone know where I can get a reasonable working set of calipers for a fair price? _

JR, I know the norm with 50cc scoots out there, one doesn't need much. But there is the handful out there that "need" more watts, because riding a 50cc is the only viable choice.
For me- getting to downtown, 31-mi. away is now possible. ( No bus.) Now, like most that choose a 50cc, I got mine to save money, Vs costs of ownership of a car/truck.
But the reasons for me was; couldn't afford Insurance, fuel, & especially a loan payment at the same time. So I went for a loan payment... So, now; fuel cost is low, loan is affordable, & no insurance is required. ( I do wear a helmet.)
But as expected, I'm without the extra watts that I need to help with such things as; heated whatever, GPS charging, better/higher powered lights, & so on.
I do use a GPS ( runs it's own batt.), & would love to have better-brighter lights, & during those really cold days (35° or less.) heated grips/gloves.
So, sometimes there is a need for more E-juice on the lowly 50cc scoot, be it for warmth, better lighting for safety, or just for more power/tune-ability with an EFI kit. ---- I hope that we can acknowledge, there are some out there in a position where this is only ride to be had. & the requests like this are not for some ridiculous & puerile pursuit of sorts.
I apologize if you feel offended JR, just wanted to give this a chance. & happy scooting to all. _

Bump. - Thought this would be worth the read to fresh members like myself.
Plus the fact that talked to him over the phone for a short while & found him to be informative, & helpful. _

Thanks, Ally. I'm the type of person that likes to have all the detailed specifications on what-ever I'm working with/on, so I can find what else can/won't work or if there a way around to modify it so it could work. _

I ask these questions about "stock-Chinese-parts", these are not directed towards "kits". ----- What is the average wattage of a 50cc & of a 150cc stators?
What of plausible alinement issues with the ignition trigger on the outside of the flywheel, some are mounted 45° while others are 90°, is this an issue when acquiring said stock parts? & Why?
What of the taper/angle of the crank-shaft on the flywheel, does it match on all flywheel sizes?
What this about flywheels having/needing 11-magnets Vs. the 8-magnet type?
Do some -Stators- happen to be thicker than some others?
Will the mounting holes line up properly, from one to the other? _

Thanks, for that info tcnacman/John.
But my question is still unanswered.
Will the stock parts ( flywheel, & stator.) from a 150cc GY6 fit a 49.5cc GY6? ----- Straight answers seem not to come easy within this site @ times. I feel that I'm not asking in the correct form, or I'm missing something. _

Will a stock 150cc Chinese-GY6 11-pole stator + flywheel fit a stock 50cc Chinese-GY6? I'm wanting to do a upgrade to my Peace-Sports 50cc scoot. I know I need to change/upgrade wiring & R/R to it as well.

Cool, that also is going to be a big help. Thanks again Alley.
Going to see about implementing this info & parts when I can. _

Now this diagram is very idea I've been looking for. - Now I never opened the carb itself, before these overflow problems started.
I did replace the fuel-line itself. & that's why believe the system could have been contaminated & caused the initial problems at the start.
That's why I want to see about cleaning the entire system to aleve any future problems. _

LtrnStr, I tend to "get lost" when trying to do something simple like clean & repair stuff sometimes. I tend to move from cleaning to hey since I'm here let's try this… & that's where it goes horribly wrong, or I get it right. Which rarely happens like I want. But there are the tiny shining moments… -------------------------------
Scot, thanks- I'll go look for that. It be nice to find folks that enjoy putting a personal touch to parts on there scoot's. _

I don't like the vac-petcock valves due to that I hear they fail often. That & I like the fact when I shut the fuel off, it stays off. --- As for the float I'm going to see about trying the clean the heck out of the sys. & new filter thing first. _

Dose anybody put "art" on there scooters/scoot-parts? Or Am I posting on the wrong forum? -----------------------------------------
Hey lanternscooter. Crazy drilling on your cover there, & yeah I literately took the time to sketch out the pattern on my cover. About 3Hrs. from laying pencil on cover to last hole drilled.
Trying to figure the math on the pattern drove me nuts, until i gave up & just free-handed it. - BtW, I tried collecting lanterns once, but had to stop for personnel reasons.
Learned alot about the old pressure lanterns. & still have a few choice pieces hanging around.
Maybe I'll pick the hobby back up again sometime... _

Hey, I believe that my flooding issues are "stuck-float" related.
Which also can be related to me opening the fuel system by replacing the fuel line & filter.
So do you think that getting fresh appropriate-sized "see-through" fuel-line & a new filter will help? Or Just get fresh filter & clean the ever-living heck out of the fuel system? _
