Hi. Anybody here put a personal Artwise touch on a part/s of your scoot? The artistic side of me sometimes takes advantage of the moment when cleaning/repairing something. & I end up with something fun & sometimes is good too. - Something like this: - - _

I was trying at keeping the case from finishing on splitting into two. & thought sence I'm fixing it. Why not try to make it look more appealing & functional in the cooling area.
So I added fake stitches with steel-wire, Drew a pattern out for cooling, then drilled. Wrapped some steel-wire on the cooling snorkel, & Finally brushed parts with a brass brush to give a little color against the black. ______________________
So if anyone has something they done/had-done to a part/s of there own/freind's scoot post'em here! _

This forum is a quite one... Thought for sure that some folks would post by now. Heh --yup--we are pretty quite here on this forum and not many are online in the middle of the night--I just found your post this morning after breakfast and I am getting ready to get outside for a nice warm day and a little ride maybe,if the rain holds off long enough--as for your creativeness on repairs ,that is rather handy--I make my own exhaust gasket for my 250 B out of chain link fence ties--anything that works ...and jazzing it up is cool--my wife thought a bullet hole was a nice touch but I nixed that..also some of us have jazzed up the seat covers but I still haven't done it yet--as an after thought, you might put a little Gorilla glue on those cracks and make it a more air tight --just saying---happy trails, fflintstone

heres what I did to mine. doesn't look as good as yours. I drilled some holes in the front because the kickstart is screwed up anyway. heres a video of the whole thing when I first got it from a junkyard

Just my luck. You can find a $20 scoot & get it to run.
I get a equivalent to a $100 scooter & can't get it run. :[ Somedays I feel machines don't like me…

Dose anybody put "art" on there scooters/scoot-parts? Or Am I posting on the wrong forum? -----------------------------------------
Hey lanternscooter. Crazy drilling on your cover there, & yeah I literately took the time to sketch out the pattern on my cover. About 3Hrs. from laying pencil on cover to last hole drilled.
Trying to figure the math on the pattern drove me nuts, until i gave up & just free-handed it. - BtW, I tried collecting lanterns once, but had to stop for personnel reasons.
Learned alot about the old pressure lanterns. & still have a few choice pieces hanging around.
Maybe I'll pick the hobby back up again sometime... _

LtrnStr, I tend to "get lost" when trying to do something simple like clean & repair stuff sometimes. I tend to move from cleaning to hey since I'm here let's try this… & that's where it goes horribly wrong, or I get it right. Which rarely happens like I want. But there are the tiny shining moments… -------------------------------
Scot, thanks- I'll go look for that. It be nice to find folks that enjoy putting a personal touch to parts on there scoot's. _
