Will a stock 150cc Chinese-GY6 11-pole stator + flywheel fit a stock 50cc Chinese-GY6? I'm wanting to do a upgrade to my Peace-Sports 50cc scoot. I know I need to change/upgrade wiring & R/R to it as well.

Thanks, for that info tcnacman/John.
But my question is still unanswered.
Will the stock parts ( flywheel, & stator.) from a 150cc GY6 fit a 49.5cc GY6? ----- Straight answers seem not to come easy within this site @ times. I feel that I'm not asking in the correct form, or I'm missing something. _

I ask these questions about "stock-Chinese-parts", these are not directed towards "kits". ----- What is the average wattage of a 50cc & of a 150cc stators?
What of plausible alinement issues with the ignition trigger on the outside of the flywheel, some are mounted 45° while others are 90°, is this an issue when acquiring said stock parts? & Why?
What of the taper/angle of the crank-shaft on the flywheel, does it match on all flywheel sizes?
What this about flywheels having/needing 11-magnets Vs. the 8-magnet type?
Do some -Stators- happen to be thicker than some others?
Will the mounting holes line up properly, from one to the other? _

Do some -Stators- happen to be thicker than some others? Will the mounting holes line up properly, from one to the other? _ 1. What is the average wattage of a 50cc & of a 150cc Stators? a. The wattage are about the same, but it depends on the stators number of POLES if they both have 8 poles then sameo sameo if one has 6 and the other 8 then the one with the 8 poles can feed more accessories without. 2. What of plausible alinement issues with the ignition trigger on the outside of the flywheel, some are mounted 45° while others are 90°, is this an issue when acquiring said stock parts? & Why? a. Makes a big difference if you notice on the outside of the FLYWHEEL you will see a MAGNET on the outside of the flywheel. If you buy a Flywheel and the outside magnet is not in the same position with respect to the WOODRUFF KEY SLOT on the Flywheel then the timing will be way off. 3. What of the taper/angle of the crank-shaft on the flywheel, does it match on all flywheel sizes? a. The taper and diameter is important , some motors have a smaller cranks some longer cranks and you then have to get the right size Flywheel. 4. What this about flywheels having/needing 11-magnets Vs. the 8-magnet type? a. That is not true and you will find that just about all 11 pole stators have an 8 magnet Flywheel. I have yet found a flywheel with 11 magnets don't even know if they exist MAYBE on the 250+ scoots. 5. Do some -Stators- happen to be thicker than some others? a. Yes some are thinner and are sold as performance Flywheels less weight and less power needed to turn. 6.Will the mounting holes line up properly, from one to the other? a. No that is also one other thing you have to watch out for. For all your questions if both motors are GY6 the parts are USUALLY interchangeable unless of course the motor is an ODDBALL. Alleyoop See the two stators they are not interchangeable notice the WOODRUFF KEY IN RESPECT to the PICKUP COIL MAGNET:

Thanks, Ally. I'm the type of person that likes to have all the detailed specifications on what-ever I'm working with/on, so I can find what else can/won't work or if there a way around to modify it so it could work. _

Thanks, Ally. I'm the type of person that likes to have all the detailed specifications on what-ever I'm working with/on, so I can find what else can/won't work or if there a way around to modify it so it could work. _ Then let me make a suggestion to you about Chinese scooters. When you ask about what will fit this and that then first "know" what you have yourself.
I can line up 4 different Chinese 50cc scooters and tell you four different things about the total electric system and some parts may or may not interchange, why? The Chinese have that many parts and options.
Want to know another thing? the 150cc scooters are even worse. I can open up 10 different 150cc scooters and fine 6, 8 11, and even 12 pole stators, with 4, 5 and 6 pin R/R's.
Stators? You know how many different hole alignments there are, OD measurements, regular ground, open ground, etc?
I can take a 150 Bali 150 and open it up and find 13g rollers with a 842 belt and open up one from the same seller and fine 14g with a 835 belt, been there done it.
So if you wan to know detailed specs for a Chinese scooter, then open yours up, get the details and then ask "is there any this or that .........that will fit, if you don't then when you do order anything new chance are like a crap shoot, 7 you win, snake eyes you lose.
Also I'll make you a promise on another thing if TV says he has a "kit" that will fit it and then you ask for it he's going to ask you what and this and that, and when you do get it it'll fit ,and then you'll appreciate his questions about it.
Lastly the info Alley posted is correct but it is a generalization and he'll even tell you that.

All very well said, you do not know what is on your scooter until you check it out. THEN if you need that part you have to make sure the one you buy is the same and it will fit. There are no PART NUMBERS to go by to get the same exact one . The only part you know is correct is that it is made in CHINA and they PROUDLY tell you, MADE IN CHINA as far a being the correct part it's a crap shoot Alleyoop

Thanks for the great input guys. Feeling glad I signed up here.
Before reading these comments, I was cruising Ebay & other online places, last night for about 5 hours. & started get an understanding of what you all mean here.
Geuss it looks like I might have to get a set of calipers, & see about mic-ing stuff as I pull it. ----- So anyone know where I can get a reasonable working set of calipers for a fair price? _

tv, it's alright.
Like I said before; Harbor Freight is ok, when one is in need of a specific tool very soon. I purchased chinese tools, & other off brands to get me by before…
I still use that chinese body hammer tool kit even today. Just because one hammer broke don't mean I should quit using it. I just don't use it for the "detail" work.
We all purchased with a "cheep-o" tool @ one time or other. _
