well I have hear different ideas an opions about that I have metal tank on the generator ,5 gallons ,an as explain above ,its only for power outages ,an to leave to much gas it it is pain ,though they do have those handy dandy pumps wich get the gas out much faster now ,an in 7 years of not keeping it full ,it has not rusted ,so I hear that keeping the cap on tight is key ,my scooter well so far have not filled it up either ,I got it about few weeks before winter ,keep cap on tight ,if I run it each week should not be a problem ,tanks usally only rust after many years of sitting an not running them ,,in about 6 weeks I will fill it up to see if the gage actually works right.i open my garage on steamy days to keep it airated ,yesterday when I ran it was the only day I had any condensation in the garage as we went from =20 to 50 ,wich does not happen often,i guess the only real problem I had was the kfx 700 that I kept adding gas to ,for 3 years ,then it went bad even with stabil, there has to be a few storys out there of bad gas though ,an the key seems to be to run them often I also plug the muffler with a rag, wich now that I have garage is easyer,i actually ran my things before I had a garage not as often,i figure pretty good that 8 years on same lawn mower weedeater an blower all ran each year so far

yes I would wonder what is the rr rated at in these I guesss I am actually going bye what the jap Honda make the reflex,it could be the 8ah will work just fine ,I guess will find out soon enough ,I guess if I found the rr is lower rated then the reflex then I would upgrade it,i ran mine today ,as cold as it got we seem to have got a break every week get above frezzing ,today 50 2 days ago = 20 unreal, but it does start an run much better at 50 then 28 ,that's nice to know ,started 2nd try today ,below 32 4 or 5 ,I guess like you ellpee having the back up battery under my seat ,will be good until I figure out how it runs ,an things like not forgeting to push the unlock key on remote twice ,i seen in one thread its best to shut off with the swithch then take out the key ,then nothing is pulling juice while just sitting ,my first ride is about 6 to 7 weeks away though in late fall I took few short rides around town I liked it ,10 miles

got the power sourse battery wpz12s 11ah,put it on trikle to check was charged before shipping just like promised its lynn vick that makes these an one called adventure is there generic version,it weights 3 more pounds at the same size meens more lead more cells ,there usa based company that makes them in Vietnam,so they may not be interstate ,but I do remember having one now ,in one of my rides an past 10 years, the average price of the battery is 80.00 there generic can be for 40 to 80.00,this one was 55.00 for me I think I did ok but time will tell, but I do think just having the more powerful battery will prove an charging issues has to do with the underpowered betteries that come with 8ah. the bigger 250cc that also come with the 150s an smaller . an the Honda reflex used this exact battery O_olike said they use the power of a 1000cc bike an 1200 bandit uses the same

well I only had one problem with gas an additives ,I had an 07 kfx 700 sold last year no real place to ride anymore ,I had been putting the red in it for 5 years ran great ,,then one day rideing along bang sputter ,an smelled the tank the gas had gone bad ,i was adding a bit ,then did not ride it very much the last 3 years .,,it got old finaly ,an so I drained it out ,still did not run right sold it for song with under 100 hours, was like brand new still, yes i used to store my dl 1000 same as you ellpee no problem ,though it had efi ,an they ran on anything to ,sometimes we get bad batches of gas ,that one year 2005 every guy with snowmobile was bringing there sled in for carb gumming hear in town they did change out there tanks that next spring at the station sunoco,I had not bought gas there so was safe ,I guess the fact that I have been able to run mine each week an put fresh gas in it every month 91,has been good thing ,not long now maybe 7 to 8 weeks till rides around town an next year get the blue ,the generator had for 7 years now use 93,an last year I drained the tank last year, its Yamaha 360,an relized to only store about 1 gallon or bit more in it ,,was the last year of metal tanks for colemen ,would prefur the plastic tank ,I allways check my can to make sure there are not floates in there ,about time to run it for few hours ,but no reason to keep 5 gallons in it unless using it for power outage ,there was nothing wrong with the gas but I felt it was comeing soon ,so put what I drained out in car that runs on 87,its the one if you don't shut off the gas the engine fills up with gas ,had to drain it few times after making mistake of leaving the gas on couse it was not properly marked from factory ,I am guessing the scooters have pep cock that does not allow that to happen there is not shut off on those that I know of. the kawi had the same set up ,scooter no chock but what do I know hehehehhehe well I a guess at one point I had the bike the atv sled generator weed eater lawn mower, alot to keep running well ,an did well ,now with the sled an atv gone not as much to keep track of

yes good for you steve the bms yes it seems they don't make as many of them ,but like you I am keeping my eyes on one down the road, let us know when you get it the bobber. 10 bussness days ,an i was happy to get bill of sale an title in mail day before it arrived ,we had one issue when mine was delivered, the driver got to a bridge that was under weight load at 70,000,truck empty was 90.000 he would not cross it .my first thought was to have him drop it side of road then pick up truck ,its about quarter mile from my house ,i said you got a floor jack ,we wheeled it down the road an up the drive ,the trucker did go to any lengths to get it hear , ,I gave him 20.00 tip ,it was after all a small set back in my case .an i see 18 wheelers down hear all the time ,just goes to show how many drive over it anyhow ,I said you can drive over it ,he said I don't want to lose my cdl ,its only about 15 feet long ,so the whole weight of truck would not have been on it ,though done guess it happens a lot ,that drivers just go over then most times couse it was never I problem before

yes I think so ,it seems Average life of treads are short ,before another one is created i seen one that has 4 repleys but 769 reads,so most it seems just like to read rather then get involved ,though this is fairly new forum from what i see,an what I like is ,,I been on forums that allowed to much debate ,an to much bull .,i like this wear it seems to treat everyone the same ,an bull ,i see that is not tolerated hear ,an I like it ,example is I don't belong to a z28 Camaro forum,an I think its whole different animal,an for example my car has been so good to me an ran so great I kind feel like I did not need one , ,an be careful though couse there will allways be those who got nothing better to do then find the faults in someones thread or post ,I am not hear for that .I agree ellpee

so I have seen what they call an 18watt x 2 when looking for replament headlight for roketa 250,an see n the 35 watt to ,so far no low wattage led light for a headlight is what I think you want Ellpee makes sence to me head lights use a lot of power ,an the battery I have come with 96watts 8ah, then the 11ah would have about 120 watts ,so I think if we have more watts comeing out of the battery ,that should help ,then how much does the rr allow out or rated for ? the ytz14s has 15ah so my guess is it would have near 190 watts to put out ,should we not replace the voltage regulater to ? just a thought ,then have what we are looking for ,I am doing a search on the h4 9003 ebay an came up with 11watt hi low beam 10.000k an there is a lot of sellers that was a 2 pack

Damn I wish it would warm up here in Idaho. The teens and twenties just aren't conducive for scooter riding. I just barely had my SYM broke in when it got to cold to ride here. Sent from my XT907 using proboards again I hear you in south Nh we have had some of the most exteme temp changes couesing more pot holes then I seen before febuary march ,from =20 last few days to 40 to 50 ,they say 35 to 50 over 6 days then back to deep frezze again ,one day we can get 2 inches rain ,then next get a foot of snow on top of that ,there I imagine its just plain cold still ,then in certain states to =55 makes for bad situation ,as 50/50 coolant is good to -35,forces some to switch to 100% coolant .what ever developes there usally makes it to us in few days from west to east

... then hopeing by may june when its real nice rideing weather can just enjoy an tinker to ... Has the snow melted in New Hampshire by May/June??? the snow melts bye early march though we can get snow into april. prime rideing starts in april to may june then gets hot in july august septmeber we get about 7 to 8 good month of rideing weather for me ,so I could be out bye some time in march actually ,we are to get jan thaw wich is welcome but couses minor flooding from -20 to 40 to 50 this weekend that is a 60+ change in temps ,so my hope is I will be done tinkering bye april may so I can ride an tinker with the scooter ,the weather in newengland can change very quickly will spend a lot of time late feb an march getting it ready for the road thoug I think I am pretty close to around town short rides ,in south NH with the thaw it could melt all the snow ,then a week later we get 2 feet of snow ,I plan on changeing the fuse box an all the fuses then ,as well as many of the lights I can get a hold of ,I live about 5 miles from mass border ,so in northern NH I imagine they wait a lot longer be so close to Canada ,I am about 2 hours from boston we are getting some of the coldest an warmest weather in any one winter in years

this is what I was told an do ,run 90 to 91 octane scooter ,I used to run 93 in everything except winter car ,my z recomends 93 with the 350.so having generater 1/4th full of 93 an stabil ,I get one gallon of gas each month 91 an what I don't use I put in winter car uses 87,then I think the possibility of it going bad is a lot less ,I know people will say they seen it go bad in one month ,more then likely got bad gas anyhow,so between the scooter an snow blower 1 gallon put about a 1/4th each time run it then run new fuel, the red stabil has proved to not be good after a few years ,the new stuff well I have not brock down an buy it ,so what do you do ? thanks guys gals ,yes still using a bit of red in each gallon ,its near time to get another gallon ,an the time it takes .could save from gumming carbs without doing this long storage thing,?whear some fill engine all the way up with oil .put oil on the spark plug hole so the engine stays lubed ,then got a lot of time spent doing it I guess I could see doing that if storeing for years ,but only for months I think this what a lot of guys do above ,probely kicking a dead horce but 8-|or is that a mule heheehehhehe I have sence of humor lifes to short ,ready to run it
