OK guys.........the backrest/hump on my seat just fell off! Has anyone had a problem like this before? If so is there a fix? If not is there a more comfortable seat out there that will work in place of the stock seat? I can buy a new stock seat on eBay for $98......let me know your thoughts on this. Scooter is running like a bat outa hell and have been having no problems until now. Thanks, Dave

OK..........I just ordered the new R/R from Oregon Motorcycle. While I have the plastics off I plan to also change out the starter that seems to be dragging. OK..........I had a little time this weekend to take a look at another issue I think I'm having that maybe I caused. Recently I finally wired up my new Bestem trunk.........it's the one that has a string of LED lights and an additional brake light. Last Wednesday my wife and I went off on the scooter to catch an outdoor concert. It was about a 25 minute ride but when we went to leave about two hours later my battery didn't have enough juice to start the scoot. It wasn't completely dead but most likely my dragging starter didn't help! So I got my digital voltmeter and checked my battery with the scoot off...........12.85V DC. Then I started the scoot and checked it at various RPM's but even at 6000 RPM's the battery never registered more that 12.89V DC so I think that's an issue. Are my new lights drawing more that the alternator/regulator can muster or do I have a bigger problem?

If it is the starting dragging how big a deal is it to replace? I would consider myself a mid level mechanic!

This is a weird one........I have never had any issues when starting my scoot but for a while now I've been hearing a sort of siren sound when I'm cranking her up. Once she starts it goes away.......any ideas what's causing that? Thanks......

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a 5-pin splitter pigtail? I purchased a new Bestem trunk a while back but I never hooked up the led brake and running lights. Since I have the rear plastics off to replace my tire and rim I thought I would try and finish this installation.
What I was thinking if this 5-pin splitter pigtail does exist I wouldn't have to splice in to the existing wiring harness..........any and all ideas are appreciated!! I have a 2011 Jonway YY250T Thanks......Burrhead Dave

Oh wow never thought of that! LOL My plan is to bring the new tire and rim to a local "full service" gas station(not many of those around)for mounting so it would be good to know if what Flintstone is saying is right........the dot lined up with new valve stem.
Flintstone, thanks for that info.......got a shipping notice today on the rim......will receive it next Wednesday......
On another note.......while I have the ass end of this puppy off I plan to also finally wire up my new trunk. It came with a strip of running lights and brake lights. By trade I'm a marine piping designer so things electrical perplex me. So any help in this area would be appreciated. Where can I find a wiring diagram on a Jonway YY250T? If y'all need pictures of the new trunk and its wiring let me know........thanks!
