Hey folks......it’s been a while! Happy New Year! Scoot has been running really well but just lately I am noticing brake fluid on my garage floor from the front wheel. Without tearing down all the plastics on the front end I checked all of the lower end connections and re-bled the from brake caliper. Took it for a nice spin braking a good many times and parked it again in my garage. The next morning brake fluid on the floor. So not sure what’s going on but will tear down the front end plastics this weekend and see what I see. I’m thinking I have a leaking brake line. Where is the best place to find a replacement? Is it best to take the old one off if it is in fact split to measure the length? Would like to hear your opinions as they are always right on! Oh yea......I live in New Orleans so I have to give y’all a Who Dat! Geaux Saints!

Richard........this hole that I think is missing a plug is not behind the variator cover.......look at the picture again......the fill and drains that you are describing are for the tranny lubricatio and you have to remove the variator cover to get to them......Dave(Burrhead)

Anybody out there have any idea what this plug that I have missing is for! Is it a place where you add some type of lubricant for the final reduction gears? See photo......

Not yet but does anyone know if I am missing a plug? I will have to remove the variation cover to check gear oil and I will do that too

When I spin the wheel I get a grinding sound and feel......gotta be wheel bearing! Can anyone recommend the best bearings to use?

Hey folks.........been a long time! My scooter has been running like a clock but last evening we had issues. About three blocks from the house with both my wife and I on the scoot I started to hear a clacking noise from the rear end. It seems to be coming from the axle/wheel bearing and not from behind the variator housing. With the wife off the bike I was able(driving very slowly)to get it home. I'm just shooting this thread out there just to get some ideas of what type of diagnostics I should do to try and narrow down the problem. My first thought would be to pull the rear wheel first. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Well as a temporary fix I have used contact cement to affix the backrest/hump back on to the seat. It will work until I figure out something else.......id have to spend $100 on a new factory uncomfortable one!
