if you can get some of the grease inside the switch that would be a home run . Time will tell if that solves the problem .

Stock replacements variator comes with 8.5g , I can get 6.5g stock I would imagine it would be one of the two .

I have seen the fifth wire outside of the plug feeds the headlight .

JR , have you got a diagram ?
You seem to surprise me often .
I see it this way black/white on the ignition switch, kill switch and in the correct position on the two wire plug . The solid black on the ignition switch is missing seems to be replaced by the purple . The double green is the question , could it be for extra load or a light around the cylinder ? A diagram would take the "?" out of the equation .
we can always do some probing/tracing .

on the 4 wire plug I don't think it makes a difference the greens on the bottom . I'm thinking you just got a bad cdi . The electrical parts I sell I test . I would think it was a defective cdi I don't see anything to make me think otherwise . As far as the ignition switch goes , when the switch is off , green to black/white should be closed , red to purple opened . When in the run position red to purple should be closed and black/white to green opened .
unless there is something I'm missing , if anyone else sees something I'm not speak up .
