Does the regulator have a black wire ?
This is an important question !!!! Remember I sell parts that I test prior to placing in inventory . There is a quick test you can make to rule out a few things or circuits in the harness .

Rich I'm 1657 , I'm not too sure I will take any upgrades . Now if they had factory removable hard top , I might think about it . I may put in an oil cooler and or trans cooler . Heavy traffic here in NYC .
I think we may have seen the same post/thread on the forums .

Its done now the next time grease the shaft. I grease all the shafts and axle's. Remember in most cases you will need to remove what is slid on. Of it rusts and blisters good luck removing. The grease will keep it from rusting.

Well now that you have a meter we can figure it out instead throwing parts at it . The regulator could put your headlights out , but it regulates ac from the stator . Lets isolate and test , figure out what is going on .
Are you or dad clear on how to work the meter ?
