Well I was eyeballing a scooter $400 shipped. I was thinking more like a 4 way gamble. $100 I can Handel for a loss. If I get the goods I pony up the other $300 to the others and then they know its a go. The more for the test the less of a loss. John $400 shipping and all? Which model? Tell ya what John, I'm in for half or $200. So here's the deal, I'll send you $200 any way you want it even cash, or I'll go to your parts site and buy $200 worth of parts and you just keep the money and send no parts. You order the scooter. If it comes in as they say and you can legally title it and register it then you refund me. Now if it gets torn up due to the shipper and everything is legit then hopefully they will cover it but if not and you can make the scooter ridable and such then you still send me back my money. I know you are honest so I'm not in the least worried about my money, heck that's just chump change soda pop money anyway. We'll find out one way or another, if the deal goes sour then everyone can laugh at us and say I told you so, like I said chump change. But if they come through then not only will I be out nothing, you'll have a dang cheap scooter that you could even sell for a profit and I'll be ordering the trike feeling better about the deal. But I really also think with some planning we can flush this skunk out too if it's scam and beat them at their own game. Like I said use Pay Pal and sign up for the Bill me Now and pay me later deal. It is not a scam have used it several times with complete success. They offer deals of 90 to 180 days same as cash and you can make monthly payments or wait to the last day and pay it all interest free. If you give a credit card use one that you rarely use and have a zero balance. If the deal goes sour cancel the credit card notify Pay Pal and then if they don't want to take care of you tell them to stick it or if you keep the credit card open file a grevience with them and you will eventually be resolved of the bill. You can hold my money until you win. If you want we can talk on the phone again I'll go half on $400. JR

You can open a dispute in the Resolution Center within 45 calendar days of payment. By opening a dispute, you are able to communicate directly with your seller to work out a problem transaction.
It's pretty easy. Just click on the RESOLUTION CENTER tab when you login. Read more: scooterdoc.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=talk&action=display&thread=8494&page=2#ixzz2erhNXrEvSo true but again on a purchase like this one would be stupid not to have a back up plan. When you go to buy a lot of products that except Pay Pal and BTW even Walmart now takes Pay Pal on their online purchase system and you click on pay with Pay Pal nearly every time they ask you if you want to use the "Bill me now and pay me later" system especially on Ebay. Heck they will ask you this on purchases from Ebay for a item that cost's $5 and offer you $10 on your next ebay purchase crazy but true. Also one needs to clearly check out their own credit card TOS plus the bank you use. Now I'll use my own card and bank. I have filed a dispute on a purchase with both and won with no problem but again "YOU" must read the TOS and "follow" the directions to the letter. With your bank you go to the bank and fill out the form in person. Now one must have proof of the problem, you can't just walk in and say I want my money back. On my deal the item I received was not the item I ordered, had all my paperwork details, etc. filed the correct request for a replacement, ya di da. The company refused to send me what I ordered, wouldn't except the wrongly sent item back and when I took this to my bank they promptly refunded my money and went after the merchant themselves, that' their job by law. When all the smoke cleared I had my money back and the wrong item too because they sent me a letter in the mail saying they didn't want to pay for the shipping back, did not have my original item in stock anymore and for me to just keep it and the dispute was now closed if "I" signed off on it which I did. Now this isn't a 5 minute process but again if you have your crap together and will go through the process you can and will win. Had the same thing happen on 3 occasions using my credit card that I use for online purchases and BTW a person is a fool to use a credit/debit card tied to their own personal checking account that they use for everyday living, no way no how do I do that. Reason? If it is ever hacked and I have had my card hacked then they will be hacking money you may be using to pay your every day bills with. I use a card that is totally separate from my household accounts. It got hacked once and after filing the dispute I was refunded and issued new account numbers on a new card. They can't and will not make you pay for something you didn't buy or didn't receive. They may charge you but that what dispute claims are for. In most cases you start the dispute process by phone and they send you paperwork to fill out. Don't be stupid. Keep all correspondence, emails, letters, etc. on purchase especially things from China and overseas so you can back up your dispute. Just saying I got scammed isn't going to cut it. I'm not guessing here I know and have filed claims and never lost. You need to remember this is "your" money, you have rights but you have to take charge, you just can't stand up and whine I got screwed. So if I bought this using Pay Pal I would use a credit card to pay them if I couldn't use the bill me now and pay me later on the 180 days same as cash deal. Generally Pay Pal offers this to new sign up customers on the first major purchase and issues you a credit line of $500 to start with. John wants a $400 scooter. Now if in 180 days you haven't received this scooter and the TOS are different using Bill me now and pay me later then just imagine Pay Pal trying to convince a court to make you pay for something you haven't even received? In their TOS they even state they are bound by Federal and Utah state law and before they go to court they use a arbitrator and pay for it. Lastly if you can't use the Bill me now and pay me later and use a credit card to pay Pay Pal then you would need to make the minimum monthly payments "until" the time limit ran out to receive the scooter. If you don't receive it then it would be time to start a dispute and with all your I's and T's dotted you will win. Been there done it. Now if you do get the scooter and it's damaged then it'll be harder but again go through the process and also a reminder, once a written dispute even on a damaged scooter all payments and interest STOPS while the dispute is being settled. Should you win and are out any money it will be refunded including interest BUT if lose then all interest and late fees will apply. On a damaged scooter again keep up with EVERYTHING, evidence wins claims, not whining. There is a member here that bought his 250 scooter, used a credit card, had several issues including damage, filed a dispute, hasn't to this day paid a dime on the scooter, still has the scooter in his possession, is riding it, and it was over two years ago. Last time I talked with him the seller has still refused to make good on the problems and the credit card company hasn't paid them nor billed the member. We all call it the bumblebee. I'm sure now some will ask why I'm not jumping on this since I'm so confident that I can keep from being screwed? I need another scooter like I need a whole in the head, I would like the trike and if I got it I would sell my 250B. I've got 4 scooters, the 150 I hardly ever touch and the 50cc is used only on camping trips and I'm just keeping it for a beginner scooter for my grandkids I'm raising. My wife will understand the trike but another two wheeled scooter? But I'm willing to be the guinea pig on half of John's scooter he's looking at and I believe he can do this without losing a dime if he's smart but if he isn't then again $200 is chump change to take a spin on the roulette wheel with this bunch, heck I'll get a good laugh out of it either way! ;D JR

I'm thinking scam , I'm also thinking factory direct . If they hold the shipping till the container is full it almost makes sense . I'm sure every item is stepped on several times before we get them even as dealers .
JR , I would like to give it a go , I would feel better if we could get 2 more people on board . Would be $100 gamble each . Yes I would like to talk about a way you think that will protect the money from scam .

I was reading the threads on my Ipad about the link listed here then tagged it and saw what they were offering. Later came to the computer room and couldn't remember what the link was but did remember that it was MMM Motor so I Googled that and noticed they have 2 different web sites. The one "http:// .mmmcoming.com/" shows the Ice Bears scooters and the like but the "http:// .mmmmotor.com/" show pictures of toys with names and prices of the other website. I thought about checking it out until I saw the second web site....SCAM ALL THE WAY.... I hope nobody gets reeled in to this.

Okay, I did talk to Ice Bear today, can you say Major SCAM!!!!!!!
Speaking only about the Ice Bear Products.
She has never heard of these people nor has her Husband ( The Owner ). The Ice Bear factory does not directly sell to any other company in China. Also this company is NOT a dealer for Ice Bear in any way shape of form. To many major flags, esp Payment by Western Union or credit card and not shipping for up to 60 days later. That is too late for a dispute with Paypal or most credit cards.
So there you have it buyer beware .

This a weird & unorthodox way of selling repo, & seized "new" scoots. I can see why there would be concerns on purchasing one.
But has any group pooled some cash together & tried to get something like the Ruckus clone? Not a lot panels to damage there. --- These are auction claimed/purchased, Repo & Seized scoots being resold at lower prices.
There shipping is set up on pre-set wait to fill containers.
Basically a very large well coordinated; purchase at auction, do paperwork, resell, more paperwork, fill containers, & then ship- process.
It could worth a try to find out if enough pitch in to try. & if this new method if there's holds true, that would be cool. If it is false, what's a $33 loss if ten of us try together.
I'm for trying… _

also another thing to think about is whether they were seized because they didn't have the right papers/certifications emission standards. theyd be useless for on-road use if so.

If you can't put it to legal road use, then use it for parts.
Heck purchasing all the parts to rebuild an old ride to like new would cost about the same if not more.
Things like all the engine/tranz internals + cooling shroud, carburetor, all the electrical, wheels, brake parts, cabling, triple trees/Forks + shock/s, handle bars, & if body cladding isn't damaged that too.
So even if you can't register it, there is enough "new" parts to cover the cost of purchase.
& just cut-up the useless chassis, leftover unusable stuff & recycle it, for more pocket change & chock it up as a plus learning experience. _

the real question is whether you would actually recieve it! ya i guess theyd be good for parts. if you had a large complex or factory you could get em cheap as something to get around on. or if you have a large piece of property with trails like i do then you could use it there.

If they will say the shipper here in the US then give the shipper a jingle and see if some have made it here or not(HEHE).
If so that would MAYBE put a little warmer feeling, but I doubt that a response to that question is on it way(HAHA). There is a saying there is a sucker born every day. Alleyoop
