Looking into the actual website's history, it has a 1year lease. So if it is still up after it's term, that could prove something. It has about 1/3 if it's lease term left. So any sole willing to gamble can still try.
Is it a new way of getting scoots dirt cheap, or is it another scam? To say it really isn't showing any rock hard evidence of either. So the game is still on. _

california is a stickler for registering bikes and scoots,,,used ones i see on CL and ebay cheap,,they have to have 7500+ miles on them or you can't register them,,and also the new crate chinese scoots half of them are not carb approved (california air resourses board),,so you can buy all you want you just can't register them for the road,,,only just a few 2 strokes are carb approved,,and i fear older 2t vespas are going the way of the dodo so i've been shying away from them,,,if indeed i can get one thats carb approved,,,hell i'll buy one,,they're super cheap i'll take a chance

I agree with all the other California posts. In California these would be a real risk. They need a CARB (California Air Resource Board) approval to be registered. That takes 9 months to obtain for a mfg, and they have to pay for the testing. From their write up, I don't believe any of these scoots could be legal in CA. One problem in CA is they can and do confiscate vehicles with non valid certs, and frame numbers.
FYI the average cost of these scoots in China is about $200 to $280 according to people I keep in contact with over there. They often have friends purchase a scooter when they visit. It is a lot cheaper and safer than getting in a cab in China.

As I said before, don't have to keep the scoot. Just use it for parts on a already legal scoot. - I'm sure one can obtain a clapped-out legal scoot with matching numbers dirt cheap, & just swap out everything that isn't frame or engine block. Heck one could rebuild the old engine with all internals & jug/cylinder from new one.
So why grip an' moan it's not legal, when one can restore?

Geezzzz is this still going on, my god man tell you what I have a beach front property in Arizona I will sell anyone real cheap. First you have to get the scoot, find out who in the states is bringing them in and then who is going to delivery it you. The only thing your going to get is less money in your bank account. Alleyoop
