Hello I'm new to the forum and scooters. I have a Xingyue 260cc motor scooter : XY260T-4 it looks like it would be a burgman clone I have also been told it is the same as the BMS TBX 260, and I have been on their site looking for parts, however I have been unable to locate one of the parts that is broken on my scoot and I think needs to be replaced. I'm not sure what it is called and have been unable to determine what it is even from the yp250 manual (which I understand from this forum is what the engine is cloned from) On what I would call the transmission on the left side of the rear wheel is a plastic cover that is broken. What is this cover and does it need to be replaced or am I ok without it. If it needs to be replaced, any idea where I can find one. Thanks All.

Well I think I just found it... I think it is the crankcase cover protector... So I'm guessing I need it... Anybody know where I can get one?

Look at this pic. The arrow is pointing at the part. Called the CVT transmission cover and it's tough to find on this model. The one on the 250B is metal and aluminum. Call Dave and ask him, he can find a lot of these type parts; absolutelyscooterparts.net/

JR-I have a JCL MP250a and this list is going to be great. Will take the guess work out when I need parts and upgrades. You deserve a big "A-plus" from all us out here having fun fixing and riding. Barnie

Efforts like this are great, just a suggestion in the interest of efficiency. List of parts by scooter type are great, but SOME parts could just go into a generic list. Electrical connectors come to mind, also screws/nuts/bolts, lightbulbs, etc. -- things that are not scooter-specific. For example, somebody gave me a really good URL for the electrical connectors at the end of various parts of the wiring harness -- 2-pin, 3-pin, 4-pin, etc., etc., etc., all the way up to 9-pin. For something like that make and model of scooter are pretty much irrelevant, so putting them in a "Generic Parts Bible" might be a service to mankind.

Okay, I am at a loss. I am new to scooters but I am pretty good at reading manuals etc. I read this listing and it is a great idea but I can't find what I need or direction. I have a 2008 Duke Touring 250 cc. I need to replace the larger bulb for the headlight. Ideas?

If it's not a horrendous job to remove the old bulb and read the numbers off the base, do so and google around with those numbers. There are bulbs all over Amazon and EBay, you just need some numbers as a starting point. Not familiar with Duke scooters, can't be more helpful.
