well i don't think honestly there is any more air in there i burped it pretty good over a month ago the only time it runs high is when i hi9t the highway going long distances i dont think the meter thats on the linhai is very accurate.i know when i ride around town for more than 45 minutes are so it never hits 1/2 point n goes back down if i do a long distance and only then over 30 miles at a time does it want to run higher than 1/2 way mark someone told me also that these bikes scooters are off about 10 mph on the speed ometer dunno so i usally run 65 and then only then does it go to the mark above 1/2 i dont know what the temp is then wish there was a digital one you can add to this bike id feel much better

I like that. Would that thread right into the hole of the existing temp sender unit?
My only hesitation is that Chinese writing all over it.. I'd question the accuracy sadly.
Linhai300 - for what it's worth, mine acts the same way. Stays around the 1/4 mark in stop-and-go traffic on days under 90 degrees. Over 90, extended runs of maybe 1-2 miles between stop signs (on 50mph roads), it will get up to about the half mark. Over 90, long, consistent 60mph runs (like on a highway or something,) it will start to creep to the 3/4 mark. I have the Honda clone engine though, which seems to have a weaker cooling system than the linhai.
Now I'm running 20g rollers of the smaller variety (23x18) - the scooter struggles to hit 60mph (gps'd - my OEM 23g rollers had higher top-end, but sluggish take-off). 19g sliders of the slightly larger variety (24x18 - some would say the 'correct' size), will be installed this week. My top speed will increase given the same RPM, which theoretically will allow my engine to more easily obtain a 60mph road speed (and will also increase my top-end.) Hoping this helps out with temps slightly during the higher-speed runs.

You may have already found the problem yourself linhai300. Open up the seat and remove the cover and expose the top of the engine. On the right side you'll see a single wire to the temp sensor on the engine. Check to make sure it is not loose and making good contact. Was the fan cycling on and off like normal? 96F and a non-stop 70 miles is pushing it hard but it should stay cool. We may have to add some water wtter to your system, high 90's and high humidity is tough on any scooter. JR JR how much Water Wetter should be added to a scooter radiator? Also do you add it to the overflow tank?

i have found out that all linhai's 300 during a hot day with bunches of humidity will run up to the 3/4 mark...but was also told that the non digital temp guages are not perfect and also if it get's to the 3/4 mark during a hot day6 i was told and i quote and old saying from the Rock if you don't smell it cooking then don't worry about it .cause we all know what it smells like when it over heats

I got a digital meter from Ebay, and before I installed it I put it in a pan with ice cubes and it read 2 degrees C. I then put it in a pan of boiling water and it read 90 degrees C. I know it is time to worry when the thermometer reads over 110 degrees C. Until then everything is good.

My scooter temp gage always heats up between 3/4 to 7/8 hot after about 10 minutes cruising. I believe the gages to be highly innacurate.

nicpaige - try running a 20/80 (coolant/water) combination; i.e.: more water, less coolant (unless you get into below freezing weather.) I just did that to my scooter (plus hyper-lube/water wetter) and have already seen an improvement. I'm guessing in the 8-12degree range (enough to keep it about 1/10th of the way lower on the gauge. Not much but every bit counts!)
The china gauges are off, but I haven't seen the china temp gauge be THAT far off. I'd be somewhat concerned.

My scooter had 0.9 miles on the clock when I received it. The fan plug had not been connected so one has to wonder if unit had been run HOT for first .9 miles by factory/dealer.

All depends? Also if it was tested indoors and cooler the fan more than likely would have never came on in a mile anyway? If it was cool and he ran it down the road the air flow would more than likely kept the fan off too. In 80F temps or less my fan doesn't come on at all if I'm moving.
