I know I can get replacement fans but I was hoping for one with more cfm with the same amp draw or even less. Yes the fan is dead, I bypassed the temp sensor years ago for a toggle switch and we hooked it up to a 12v power supply outside of the vehicle and it will not spin and is getting 12v. I found a couple stock fans for less than $40, I havent found any that advertise any specs at all yet. Thanks for the reply.

Your impeller should be threaded onto the shaft with a left hand or reverse thread. This video may help

I had a mishap with my scooter and since I have it tore down I would like to get the cooling system working correctly again. The stock fan quit working so I would like to replace it with a higher cfm fan if possible. Has anyone made this modification?

Start with a good battery, remove the alarm thingy and get you a battery tender brand charger with the quick disconnect fittings. After you ride just pull the seat up and plug it in. Used to have this problem with mine but then replaced the cheapo battery with a Yuasa. Good luck.

My BMS 250 makes a clatter sound in the front brake when its not engaged. The pads are moving back and forth because the tension spring clips were removed or lost at one time or another. Has anyone seen these clips available for purchase?

Well I replaced the brake handle and got me some soft sided looped attaching straps. So we are back in business.

???Well I made myself a really nice scooter rack and ramp for the back of my motor home and we got to use it last weekend. Worked great. Thought I heard some strange noises as we pulled into our driveway. Walk around and the scooter was laying parrallel to the road and Im guessing we dragged it about 3/4 mile that way. The only damage I have seen so far is the brake lever broke and the end of the handle bar grip was ground down to the handlebar. One of the ratchet straps came loose (may have had it routed wrong through the ratchet). We were very lucky it didnt come off and injure someone on the highway. The thing I have noticed is these scooters done have convenient strap attachment points. I have ordered some soft straps that loop over the handlebars and rear grip handles and will be fabricating a front wheel corral also. Dont want this happening again for sure.

I just finished putting a electric fuel pump on mine, the micro s series 1-5rating. I was adjusting idle and then decided to check the oil. Opened the oil reservoir cap and oil and fuel came gushing out. SO I figured a regulator would be nice to have inline. Got it set down to 2 psi and so far all problems with cutting out at high loads have been fixed. Scooter feels allot more responsive as well.

I have a BMS 250 macho man and I believe the engine is a Helix clone, the cylinder is almost vertical maybe tilts slightly toward the rear wheel?

I have my body panels all off from installing the electric fuel pump and regulator so I figured while im this far I might as well replace the rollers or sliders with different weighted ones. What size comes stock on mine and what would be an upgrade or advantage to switch to? The scooter has pretty good top end "70-75mph". If anything I would say mid range is kind of lacking.

Thanks for the link for the cap....$1.98 is cheap but the $12.00 shipping hurts!

My BMS 250 has coil springs over the rear shocks and what looks like an adjustable nut or collar on the bottom. Im assuming I can tighten or loosen this to make changes to the ride? My wife and I often ride it and over bumps it can be quite a jarring experience.

Two to three times now either with a passenger or not while going up a long hill or into a strong headwind my scooter starts losing mph and missing. Roll out of the gas a little bit and it clears up. If you continue without letting off the gas it will eventually sputter and die. Wait 5 seconds re-start and all seems fine until the next long hill. This only happens above 50mph. I have changed the plug, cleaned air filter, made sure of gas delivery. It almost seems as if the carb is running out of fuel under that much load and throttle? I have also read that a cdi or coil could cause this? Ideas?
