Hi scooter gods.
I have an over heating issue on my Linhai 250B. It's hitting the "H" in about 10 minutes of idle in the garage. What I have done thus far.
1) drained and flushed the old fluids from the radiator cap tomthendrain plug.
2) with the compressor blown air from the radiator cap to the drain plug.
3) filled and burped the system. Still hot.
4) removed thermostat and tested in a pot. Opens at about 180.
5) without replacing the thermostat ran the scoot and it still hits "H"
Note the fan sensor is not coming on because the radiator is not hot to the touch but the neck where the thermostat should be is hot enough to burn your finger.
What should I be looking for here? Is this telling me I am not done burping or is the water pump needing to be replaced.

Thanks John. i wont even ask how you know this.  i got over there and saw the dash lights were in the ON position so i tried it and it started. its home now. Now i have to order a new ignition and most likely re-do the glove box and seat lock. UUHHGG!!! |

Hi Guys,
My 250B's ignition switch broke apart and the bike is on the other side town.
is there a way to bypass the ignition to start the bike so that i can get it home?
HELP please the small lights are on!!!

Hi RJ, just wanting to follow up on the two issues and see if you scooter gods have any guidance for me.
1) lights fluctuate at idle and while cruising down the road.
2) RPM gauge not functions. Currently today it's stuck right under 4k.

Ok sorry. I am new to scooters. I got mine on the July 4th and have done nothing but work and ride on it. Mine is the Roketa MC-54-250B.

Sorry I missed including the second issue I would like to fix which is the RPM gauge not going beyond 3500.

Hi JR, thank you very much for being patient and trying to help me out here.
I will certainly post a pic of my 250B hopefully later tonight.
I still have packets the sliders came in so I'll check the sizes. But the 10.5s fit fine. The 4.5s did not and they are out of the variator.
Just to recap I'm trying to resolve the lights fluctuating it does it idle when it's sitting in the garage.

Hi is the CDI the same thing as the rectifier? I have a spare one of those. (6 wires 3 yellow in one plug and blk,red,grn in the other). No its not a miss print I had 4.5 (4 of them) in there but they kept coming unseated so now I have the 10.5s and 14.0s in there.

Hi all,
I have an issue with my headlights. While riding down the road at night the lights will dim for a momment then return to full strength. I did convert the headlights to H4's but the issue going prior to the upgrade. Also this occurs irrespective to the fan comming on. Could this be a rectifier issue? I was able to buy one from friend but before I go replacing parts I wanted to see what the scooter gods thought.

Hi guys, I have an issue with the RPM gauge on my Linhai 250. The RPM gauge doesn't read correctly. It is very slow to go up and only goes to around 3k and I can hear that I should be higher when I floor it.
Where does the RPM gauge connect to so that I can make sure that's connected correctly?

Ill change it out as soon as I can. I wanna know why it blew. The vibrations may be why it blew. Yesterday was the fastest I had riden it at right about 65.
