Guys!! i found the issue i think!! i pulled the clutch (after some strong persuasion) and the rear bear of the clutch assymbly was seized on the spindle. once i pried the beaing off the spindle all the tumblers fell out. lucky for me we have a good parts shop in town (Partsforchinesescooters) that has a lot of the parts in stock. going to get one now. ill post pics of the issue for all once im done tonight.

Hi Alleyoop,
Ok i found the nut at a local Bike shop and came home and put it on. Same issue. i did lower the idle as well. it seems to start fine but once started the variator engages and moves out pushing the belt up and engaging the clutch. im lost at what to look for. the variator is the original one with new sliders. My concern is that when I apply the rear break the engine dies.

sorry guys i guess i should clarify. im going to grease the cylinder that fits between two halves of the variator and put a little lithium grease on the cylinder of the clutch as they are both very dry. i think the dryness caused the variator stick when it got hot. i havent been able to validate this as i stripped the nut for the variator. once i find out the size ill buy one and and test it out.

ok just pulled off and opened up. i have sliders in there and it was FULL of belt dust and dry. i need to go get more grease and a new bolt as it stripped when i pulled it off. do you by any chance no what type of thread that is on the spindle for the variator?
Thank you very much Alleyoop i THINK this just might be the issue. i think it was stuck high because it was dry. I'll confirm this when i get back from the autopart store.

Ok I just put the bell back on and started it and the clutch is engaged right off the bat. When I pull the break it stops the wheel but the clutch is still spinning. I'm worried now this issue could be something else.

Hi Alleyoop, I pulled the CVT cover and pulled the bell housing off. While there was a lot of dust behind the pads they are intact and the springs are tight. I can't really see behind to the springs. There is a large flat bolt retaining the assembly. Would you know what size that is?

Alright guys finally got it home. I'll be opening it up tomorrow AM. Which is the main spring? The big one behind the clutch plates? It's a new clutch. Its only about 2.5 months old.

Hi guys, an update. I think it might be the clutch because while on the center stand the wheel is very hard to spin by hand and when started the wheel does spin. As soon as I drop on the tire it dies. I'm thinking either the new (less than 2 months old) clutch is bound-up. It's parked about 5 miles away so ill have to get a wrecker to get it home. And then check it out.

Hi guys, thanks for the info. It was stopped at light and when it was given gas to go it kicked forward like it had just been rear ended and then it died. Once restarted the rear wheel would not spin.
I will check the breaks and then pull the CVT cover.
Thanks for the info.

Hi All, I need your help. I have a Roketa 250b (linhai) that has seized up the rear wheel. It will still start but the rear wheel will not turn. Even if the scooter is off it won't roll. I need some guidance on what to look for to see what needs to be done to fix it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

have a Linhai 250B and i have been dealing with an issue of trying to adjust the carb. i let it warm up and then try to set the idle to the point right before the rear tire starts to turn. if i leave it there it may be right about 1800rpm which is good but the issue is during a ride if i stop at a light sometimes it drops to about 1100rpm and tries to die. if i feather the throttle to 1500rpm it idles fine there but if i let it go it drops. the other issue is to get it there it idles at around 2200/2300rpm at cold start. i have added a K&N air Filter and a straight though performance exhausts. the fuel mixture is at 2.5 turns out. Any help at what i should be looking at would be appreciated. Thanks! Read more: scootdawg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=200cc&action=display&thread=54612#ixzz26eh5kxFK
