Guys is there a diagram that illustrates the direction of the coolant flow? i would like to see which way the water flows from waterpump to radiator and back.
thanks!

HI JR, I tested the thermostat this AM and it opened as desired. i also sightly opened the drain plag of the water pump and let a little water drain just to make sure it wasnt clogged.

Hi JR, ok I flushed out the flush and burped it last night. Then just now once I got home I topped off the radiator and drained the overflow then stated it up and ran it. It burped very little this time but the water at the neck fluctuates kind of forcefully. Not sure if that's an issue. I replaced the cap and let the temp rise to "H".
I think the next step is to pull thermostat. I'm at a lost any guidance would be helpfull.
Thanks all

HAHAHAH!!! OK first let me address the upside thermostat. yes its the right way(pin part up) and ive actually been running it with the new thermostat since Aug with no issues until last week. its funny because when i was 16 i did put one in upsidedown in a truck.
ok ill go drain and flush out the PEEK now. i wanted to pull the lower hose and a top hose and flush the radiator anyway just to be sure.

hi guys back at it. the thermostat is new. i replaced it and the water pump back in Aug-2012. but i just bought some PEEk flush and when i pulled the drain plag NOTHING came out. i tried to pressure it with water form the radiator cap and it would not flow. i then blew air into the drain hole and water just spewed like a volcano from the radiator cap. i then ran water into the cap and out it comes from the drain. i also pulled the two top hoses of the radiator and ran water into the radiator and into the hoses in attempt to flush the system. i then filled the radiator with PEEK and let it run until "H". im thinking let it sit and run it and burp it with PEEK again. then flush and fill with antifreeze again and see what i get.
where does the lower hose go.

I would have to agree with you guys. i tried it a few times yesterday with little burps but still no fan and the over flow is full. i just refilled it at burped it again (big burp this time) but still no fan. once i shut off though there is a burping noise comming from the hose. not sure what thats about. gonna wait till later to see if i can get one more time.
thanks for hanging in there with me.

Hi JR, I got to work om it again today. open it up and the fluid is low at the radiator fillcap. the resevoir is all the way full (still from yesterday). Where are you measuring 167F at? thermostat, temp sensor or at the fan switch at the bottom of the radiator?
i topped off the radiator and ran it with the cap off. at around half way up on the temp gauge it burped pretty good. i repeated this once more and then it stopped burping. the temp went to H and i shut if off and let it rest for about 1hr. went back out and it was cool. its in the 50's here in Houston tonight. topped it off again and started it. it burped very little this time. the temp went up to H again and i shut off. i havent ran it with the cap on yet today. i will let it rest once more and then go back out and 1) top it off if necessary 2) run it till it burps and then top it off 3) replace the cap immediatley 4) pray for the fan to come on.
Thank you very much for the guidance. I know i owe you guys an outcome on my cluth issue... i did get that one fixed.

I have been tryin gto follow the burping instructions but still having issues. I fill the radiator and the overflow tank is almost empty. with the radiator cap replaced i start the bike and watch the temp gauge go up tp "H" and the over flow tank fills up. turn off the scoot let it cool, open the radiator and its low. top it off, replace the cap adn start the scoot. watch the temp go to "H" and the overflow bottle is now full.the fan is not comming on. the temp at the thermostat is 180+ and at the temp sensor its 180+ the radiator is getting to 92+.
what temp should the fan switch comeon at? what am i doing wrong in the above?
thank you guys for your help.

Hi Guys it seems that the cluth and clutch bell are spinning properly. the bell stays put while the clutch spins until the rpms are raised. there is a grinding noise (in the last video) that isnt normal. additionally its running poorly now. I'm thinking this could be related to the original issue where the clutch had seized and wasnt allowing the rear wheel to turn. when we tried to move the bike it was forcing the engine to turn. I'm thinking i messed the timing up and now may need a valve adjustment.
thank you both replying. with out you guys to bounce thoughts off of this would really be a nitemare.

OK Guys, I just finished replacing the clutch and a new belt since i was in there. i took it for a test ride just to the end of the steet with the cover off and its not running well. as I accelerate it seems to be very sluggish and if it had mutliple pistons I would say it was misfiring. Once it gets up a little it seems to want run a little better but nothing close to normal.
here is a video of the new clutch and sound.
thanks!

Yeah!! bad news is i think they gave me the CFMoto version clutch instead of the Linhai. the inner radius of the bearing is less than the radius of the Linhai. back to the shop i go tomorrow.
But on a lighter note i want to thank you guys for sticking with me through this and a special thanks to you Alleyoop. You pointed me in the right direction.
