That nipple does indeed curve just a little and there is a line of some sorts going to it.

That looks close, i do have that valve on the right, but it is just above the bowl. I have not found one to match it. Do i need it if not can i replace with a reguler carb as your showing?

The bike has been running fine till about two weaks ago, it's has 1,300 miles on it. I try and pick up some carb cleaner. And the nipple IS on the carb. The manifold has two vac lines it.

I was trying too fire up the scoot and it will start and run for about thirty seconds and then die. Can not give it gas iether. this has happened a few times even on a warm scooter. right now I'm thinking of replacing the carb but i can't find the exact carb PD24JD. the carb has what appears to be a vac line on the front just above the bowl. Any Idea's? Thanks Bill

I was riding home and the bike tried to stall, got a block from home and it did. I was able too restart it but any atempt to use the throttle and she die's. one time it started and rpm's went up to 3,000 on a warm engine. I know i need to due the valves, I'm thinking intake manifold or something in the carb. Any Idea's i'm thinking carb diaphram.
Ride safe Bill

I'd use a carbide left hand drill bit. Tis a bit pricey but there is no reguler bolt it can't cut thru.

Just an update. I pulled the check valve off the overflow line and put a fuel filter in its place. Took a fifty mile ride and all seems fine. Thanks for the help. Ride safe Bill
