You can also search on ebay for 250cc scooter there is always a bunch of parts listed. If I am not mistaken they are the 8mm mirrors.

Richard I do not if this has been mentioned but by change the fuel filter is not in backwards is it? fuel filters do have a flow arrow on them and if they are put in backward flow they will not allow the fuel to flow through. Just a quick thought since you say you are getting gas from the tank to the filter but not any farther.

TY Scooter. 1st off i think the speedometer would be as accurate as any gps device can be. It has it's own sensor which is on the top of the dashboard to get full view of the sky. What little I have rode it, it seems to be pretty accurate. (unfortunately the scooter now has an oil leak). 2ndis the tach, in the back of the original gauges there is a 3 wire plug for the tach. I used the plug from that to determine the pulse wire. If I am not mistaken I think it is a Yellow/White wire (the middle wire of the 3 wire plug) the other 2 wires were a hot and ground I think. I am not sure tho that the tach is correct on the readings unless the original tachs they use are debunked by a lot. When the old gauges were in, the tach would read like everybody elses at around 2K idleing, with the new tach in and a filter on it, it is reading in the 4K range idleing. So I am not sure which gauge was/or is correct. I don't really worry about the tach when riding anyway just when I am adjusting the engine, as long as it can read a steady pulse I am happy with it. The tach itself has an adjustment in the back to set it for different types of engines from 1 cylinder all the way up to 10 cylinder. I will get a set of original guages out of the storage shed and see about posting a pic with the wires I am referring to.

Thanks All. I like the choices I made in the colors and the gauges. It may have cost me a bit to get it all down but I wouldn't change a thing if I had it all over to do again.

For the last 6 or 7 months I have been working on my scoot. Yes it has taken me this long. LOL What I did was stripped it all down and sanded the plastics and gave it a new paint color. The colors are Almond and Slate Blue. The longest part was figuring out how to mount the new gauges I ordered but I figured out after several failed tries; This is the view during the day, And the night view. I also added a new radio that also has a jack for headphones and Ipod connections and I ordered a used Glove compartment section that came with speakers already installed, The radio I got off Ebay. This also came off Ebay. Just thought I would share what I have done to the scoot. Finally I can ride again. ;D

I have the front off my 54B and the ignition wires are same as yours. The hook up is as follows on mine; Brown/White(from ignition switch) to NOTHING::: Orange(from ignition switch) to NOTHING;;; Black(from ignition switch) to Black/White;;; Black/White(from ignition switch) to Green(Ground);;; Red(from ignition switch) to Red;;; Red/White(from ignition switch) to Black... Hope this helps you on getting the wires back together.

Anytime you need a gasket just go to the local auto parts store and buy the roll gasket that way you can make your own. used to do that all the time for the car i owned and it is a lot cheaper. all you have to do is lay the gasket material on the item and tap it lightly with a hammer(preferably brass) and you will have a perfect gasket.

On mine the temperature sending unit is located next to the thermostat housing. It is a single wire sending unit.

Thanks JR
The oil pressure gauge had me baffled. I searched all over the motor looking for a port. LOL

Ok I have 2 questions on MC54B-250 with Linhai Motor.
1st Question is "has anybody hooked up an oil pressure gauge or is there an oil port for one?
2nd Question is where would the best place be to hook up the wires for a Volt Meter?
Reason I am asking is I purchased a Quad set of gauges that have Volt, Oil, Temp and Fuel Gauges all in one unit. I am redoing my whole dashboard with new gauges including a GPS Speedometer.
