My mistake had scrappy dogs opened in two windows and copied the wrong link. The funny thing is my CDI and coil are not what they have listed for the Linhai engine. In fact the CDI and Coil I have are the same as 250 CF.

Thanks all, but what I did was go to Ace Hardware and purchased 4 1/4"x 2" rubber washers. They came with a 1/4" hole in the center. Well I super glued them together, drilled out the center hole so the metal sleeve would slide through and then installed it. So far it is working.

Does anyone know where to purchase the rubber bushing which goes to the center stand? Mine is worn out. Thanks

You may have already found the problem yourself linhai300. Open up the seat and remove the cover and expose the top of the engine. On the right side you'll see a single wire to the temp sensor on the engine. Check to make sure it is not loose and making good contact. Was the fan cycling on and off like normal? 96F and a non-stop 70 miles is pushing it hard but it should stay cool. We may have to add some water wtter to your system, high 90's and high humidity is tough on any scooter. JR JR how much Water Wetter should be added to a scooter radiator? Also do you add it to the overflow tank?

JR, if that connector on the heat sensor for the temp gauge is not tight does it effect when the fan comes on and off?

I would keep the a/f screw out 2 1/2 times, but you have me thinking about the valves. How many miles on it and have you ever adjusted the valves?

Well Todd since things are looking up, you can't sell it just now. Look at all the work you did and if it runs great then you can feel real proud of yourself. Hate to see you sell it and the new owner calls and tells you what a gem you sold him.

Thanks Richard and JR. I just wasn't sure what the lifespan was on sliders. Looks like I am good to go for awhile now. It is always great to belong to the best Scooter Forum on the web.

Richard, I had a bad variator from the start and was always having problems with the rollers and then sliders, as they turned inside the variator so at about 5000 miles I had enough and purchased a new variator and new sliders. Now that was 6300 miles ago. I thought someone might know the life span of a set of sliders. Have you ever changed the rollers, or are they the original ones?

I know crap myself about your problem, but have you thought of replacing the two wires from the cdi to the coil?

Right now I have 6300 miles on my sliders which are 12g. As they wear I would assume they lost weight and become lighter. So does that mean I would faster pick up and lose top end speed? Or do you lose both as they wear out? Finally does anyone know how long they last as far as miles goes?
With 6300 miles on them I would rather order new ones then take the CVT cover and variator just to inspect them for wear. Yes, I am on the lazy side.

Todd, My scooter the 54B Roketa has the Linhai 257cc engine in it, that is why I mentioned how the coils looked different.
