sounds like you have a floating ground stator and your R/R needs to made for the same

i would test at the stator and then again at the R/R did you get the exact same stator as was on there to start with as the stator and R/R need to match

sounds like you fried the R/R with it burned out riding it blew all your lights so you will need to replace the R/R and all of your bulbs

you will need to pull the plastics off to see where the other end is connected and go from there

if it has a large eyelet on the end that is bare makes me think it is a ground that came lose Jr has alot of wiring diagrams in the tech section and it looks like you may need to pull some of the plastics off to find the problem

on the gear oil for your bike i would say 80/90 wieght would be good and on the kids dirt bike you should have about an half inch play in the middle of the sprokets

he R/R has nothing to do with the spark plug ing system there is an coil just for the ing system check and make sure that you did not hook the extra switch into the kill wire for the bike

have you check the battery? and when checking it check the grounds they should be clean and tight follow the black wire from the battery to the frame clean the paint off under where the cable bolts to the frame and follow the ground from there to the motor and make sure it is connect to a solid metal part of the motor

hate you having to rewire the thing but then you will be able to know what is what and maybe get rid of some things that are not needed
