ok so for the past two weeks my scoot has been hard to start i know i need a new battery so ive been kicking it its a wildfire wf 50 cc so i checked the valves they where fine i figured it might be a dirty carb so got a can of cleaner and set out to clean the carb i also wanted to check the manifold for any cracks since i dealt with that before well i cleaned the carb got every thing back together and once i started it oh my god it runs like its on meth and wont slow down i didnt touch the idle and the throttle cable is in the same place so i dont know what i did

ok here goes when it doesn't start i hear a click then the rrrrrrr of the starter spinning it sounds fast, when it starts i hear the click the same rrrrr but a ping ping like metal bouncing of metal then it starts, i assume the metal sound is the gear bouncing off then engaging the variator that's as close as i can explain it i need a cable for my phone it pose a video I'll look into that today and see what i can get

The question is how often do you need to change the clutch shoes? These are oem and are the performance shoes worth the money there is about a 30 dollar difference, do they last that much longer. And while im at it should the torque spring match the springs on the shoes in rpms .This is on a 2008 50 cc 4 stroke wildfire

Ok finally got the belt lubed the clutch it moves easier put belt on took for test drive. The clutch felt like it was slipping brought it back home took cover off now i only took it out for maybe a half mile but the belt was really hot, looking at the clutch shoes they look really smooth.I got 7 more days till i can buy new clutch shoes I hope if i take it easy i can get the 10 miles to and from wok till then as i cant afford 20 bucks a day to get to work. would the shoes slipping in the clutch break a belt?

so i get on my scoot to go to work like every other day i get about 2 miles away and the belt shreds. i call a friend he comes picks me and the scoot up ,we get back home i pull the cvt cover off i figure the belt was old so i put on the replacement get everything closed up take off again. i get about 4 miles down the road the belt shreds. wtf ive rode this scoot to and from work since i got it rode it the 20 miles round trip the day before no problems. got the thing it had 600 miles now has 2900 changed the oil at 1500 and 2500 had to re gap the valves both times no biggie just slightly tight. oh i forgot its a wildfire 50 cc and now i need to find a belt its a 670 17.7 30 will a 669 18 30 work?
