Well I sold the Linhai 260 and bought a reflex 250. It was apart to start with. When I went and looked at it, it would fire up on ether, the guy says it has been setting for a couple years (1200 miles) and not run. Anyway I removed the carb and all and leaned it real well. Re-assembled it and it started right up. I thought great lets put her back together and go for a ride. Well it has absolutely no power. It will not go over 30MPH. So I went back to the garage and figured I missed a vac line or the carb is still clogged somewhere. Removed the jets and cleaned again, seem clean to me. Fired it up same thing. It seems like it is starving for fuel. I ordered a cheapo chinese carb just to see what happens, the only thing is the Honda carb has a TPS on it and i'm sure the new one won't. I just figured i'd leave it hang there and see what happens.
So are there any of you geniuses out there that know what is going on here. It fires right up but no power. This scoot should hit 70MPH I would think.
And a Got a great deal on it $800.00 so long as I can get her running I guess.

Well I just took my $100.00 well $200.00 scooter out for a ride! These are pretty quick scooters wow. I changed several things today and the last thing was the stupid kick stand switch. So not 100% sure what it was. But it fired up and purrrs like a kitten. Now I just need to find a windshield for it as this one is broken. Any ideas please let me know...

I bought a Basket case 260 for $100.00. Started checking it out and has no spark. Tried a coil first. Pulled the cover off and the stator looked fried, Burned and crispy wires. So I replaced it. While ordering parts I figured I would order a New CDI just in case the stator fried it too. Well STILL no spark.
At this point what the heck is left. That should be everything right? To nice a scooter to toss it away, especially since I now have a few bucks in it.
Any thoughts or ideas I can check. There is a 4 wire THING? that is flat looking about an inch wide and 2 inches long that I have no idea what is it. But it is in the harness near the stator wires?

It is one of the wires in the CDI. On the 4 pin connector. I just had the same problem a few weeks ago. The pin pulled out a bit. Just stumbled across it by accident.

I have a Daelim S125. Lately when starting it, it seems be be flooding out. Some days it runs fine. Driving me crazy. I was curious if anyone knows how the fuel enrichener works. I have changed the carb and it does the same thing. Where does the enrichener get it's signal from. I am thinking it is telling the carb to keep it open.
Any thoughts.
