I'm new to scooters, parts, & there values. Now I haven't inventoried it all yet. But from what I've seen; 4 basic engines (one toasted by rod-throw.) miscellaneous parts, & a 2008 Peace-Sports Lottus-50 (Not running , not bad but, in rough shape.) Is all this a deal @ $200 + $60-delivery ? _ PICS IN NEXT POST ↓-↓ ↓ ↓

Sorry, you asked about the original problem. So I told you about it. Let's forget about the old carb, & its past issues & focus on the current one at hand. Starting over.--- Current issue now - Tuning new carb. It currently has installed a, #35-pilot jet, K78-main jet.I have #34-pilot & a #75-main jets in my possession that I can use.-------------------------------------- I will be re-tuning the carb from scratch, starting with the #34-pilot & the # 75-main.(As soon as warmer weather permits.) I will be using your post: "Tuning a 4-Cycle Carb" As my instructions. I hope this clears the confusion. Thanks for the help so far... _ -------------------------------------------- New carb is exactly as the old one - ↓↓↓↓↓↓

My apologies. The enricher on the original stock carb stopped working, allowing the original stock carb to run rich all the time.
When I tested it with 12vdc 7amps, it didn't warm up barely at all, & didn't really move the needle, even after 10 minutes. I know the it's supposed to move at least a 1/4 inch when warmed up.
So I removed it & sealed off the enricher port. It ran fine for about 2 days, then began to flood the carb to the point of draining out the intake into the air filter cavity.
From what I learned, float/fuel needle just wouldn't seat correctly. The float itself was airtight & fine, no leaks.
I suspect my stator may have had something to do with frying the enricher. The surging spikes from it had blown two headlight bulbs.
P.S. My scooter's running an AC-ignition system, headlight comes on when running. -------------------------- Hey Alleyoop; thanks for putting up with me so far. I appreciate the free help.
I've recently read your post; "4-cycle carb tuning" & will be retuning the new carb from scratch when the weather warms up again. _

This scooter is a 2013 Peace-Sports Renegade "AKA:805 model". Purchased new, 3-km on the odometer
Idled perfect, but burned little rich when riding down the road. (drove full-throttle most times.) The choke died on it rather quick.
Replaced fuel lines. & that's when the flooding started, which lead me to a new carb.
When I took the carb that it came with apart, it had #34-pilot & a K78-main.
I hope this will help in figuring out what to do. Because I'm feeling really lost, dumb, & frustrated here...

If it isn't the accelerator diaphragm. - Could it be a bad intake gasket? I did remove the intake manifold once, for inspection reasons. _

It actually idles better with the #35 pilot. The original pilot jet was a #34. - The problem I'm asking about, is there a possiblilty that the accelerator diaphram is damaged?

Would be nice to have some $$ to get a fuel-injection kit, & install it. No more temperamental, messy, & sanity-pushing carb work/tuning. Just some sanity-pushing tuning via' laptop.

Well, after about 6-1/2 hrs. of tinkering & tuning on the carb, managed to get the dern' thing going again.
Took a drill bit & hand-turned it to reface the float-needle seat to a angel to give it more contact surface. Bent the float needle adjustment tab from straight to a step to take up slack between the two. (Not sure if needed, but worked anywhoo.) Changed jets -twice. (ended up with #78-main & #35-pilot.) Then buggers of time, tuning...
But still dies-out when coming off from running mid to high RPM. Was suggested that the accelerator diaphragm may be damaged.
Could it have gone bad after sitting for a month & dealing with multiple accelerator needle adjustments ? _

Perhaps there will be day & time to change that. _
