I didn't mind the comment, it was just confusing.
Didn't know what it was referencing to; KFC cowardly riders or, chicken farms.
So was asking the intended direction of said comment. For curiosity sake. _

I think about 30 but that was only the first winter year I got the trike. To COLD so now I just ride when it is 79+(HAHA). The Trike is in the garage and I start it once a week or once every two weeks and let it warm up for about 20 minutes and charge up the battery and get the fluids going through it. Alleyoop Don't feel the need to store it eh'. Don't blame one for keeping the ride ready for when the weather permits. - Me however, have to travel pretty much any weather. Even if it was 10-deg. Cause' it's my only ride. Providing road conditions are right. No sense in riding a death-way. _

What's the coldest you ridden in? - I've so far I have road in 36-degree dry weather. Open face helmet, & that is rough…
But the oil was ok, felt like it was not quite reaching top RPM's but that just may have been me feeling frozen.
I was prepared to travel in upper 20's but that's when the carb' problems started. _

Ah, scrappy. One of the first online parts/performance stores I found. & the only place I can find the PCV valve for my scoot. Still working on getting that. ------------ Quick question here on oil. Are the tolerances on these chinese GY6 engines too loose to use 5W-30 oil? I put 5w30 in for below 30-deg weather. & it vapored oil into the belt case, past the crank seal. So I changed it back to 10w40. Or do I just need that PCV valve? _

$24.00 on Amazon but with Amazon you have to pay Shipping so watch that . That is how Amazon makes it's money always charges for shipping unless it is over $25.00 and even then if it is not from there store you get charged shipping. Alleyoop That's where I got the this new one from. Shipping was free.

Ok, figured that the float needle may have just been junk. While dry it will seat & seal. But when wet, it leaks.
Now the question is, where do I find a quality rebuild kit for this carb?
___________ There is also a chance that enlarging the fuel line size may have played a part in this.
The larger fuel line will put more "weight" on the float needle. In turn, making a sub-par needle go bad. - So going back to the stock size, may relieve any future carb needle issues.
That & perhaps purchase quality clear line, to keep aging fuel line problems from occurring as well.

Found replacement for $24 on amazon.
But I can't even afford that at this moment. Now if it was $3 I could spare that…

Figured on that, or rebuilding it. But with rebuild kits costing almost as much as the carb's initial purchase price. What's the point rebuilding it? - *Sigh* - If I don't rebuild it, I'll see about finding a high quality one. ____________ It would be nice if I could afford the EFI kit. No carb tuning, just a little time for the system to learn. & the bonus is, infinite tuning capabilities. _

Tried to adjust the float, after it started to overflow. . But no matter the adjustments, it still overflowed.
That's why I tried to see if this has happed to anybody else.
I know I need a new carb. because this one is trashed.

Not yet. Dealing with catch-22.
No ride-No cash no cash-no parts No parts-No ride
& that's the catch-22 I'm dealing with.
I'm disabled & have limited income. -Mental/Social disorder coupled with other memory/coordination issues.-
Took me around a year just to get the funds to purchase this darn scooter. The only reason I got it was, it was new. & half the price of name brand scoots.
I didn't want to be having to deal with unknowns, or someone's lack of maintenance that older rides come with. & used dealers where too far to get to. Heck it took me a week just to get a ride to purchase this scoot.
Disability income really sucks. Ugh...

Only worked on the float after it started over flowing the carb.
Oh sorry about the fuel line size, I meant 5/16"

Figured I messed it up good. Yes, the fuel is coming from the air filter side. But it isn't getting fuel from the petcock valve, the vac line has always been dry.
Still, does having a larger fuel line cause this overflow to occur over time? (I up-sized the line from 1/4" to 3/16".)

18mm carb.
Fuel is comming out the intake bell. By ether the main jet or pilot jet venturi openings I believe.
Tried to stop the overflow of fuel by JB welding the bumper on a float needle, then tried an adjustment on float to lower fuel level. Both ajustments failed. (No dirt, or foreign object found ether.) -------------- The main jet was too small & pilot was too big.
The acceleration diaphragm needle was adjusted to stop stumbling on acceleration. ------------- When left alone long enough, it will even leak past the vacuum pecock valve.
I tested the valve & it dose function properly. But, I still suspect it's broke. ------------ Side note; I have upsized the fuel line from 1/4 to 3/16th of an inch. Would this have any correlation to my problem? Or is it even relevant?
