Todd you better hold off on Scrappy's top end for the linhai! This engine has been known to have 3 different piston sizes and there are those including a member here that will tell you that Scrappy sent them the wrong size piston and rings! The engine could have 68, 69 or 70mm rings! JR JR, If the piston, Sleeve and Rings are all coming in a kit what difference does it make? All coming together in a kit would it not be just like doing a BB upgrade without a bigger piston?

I have the MC-62-250. Now I have done everything to try and get get this scooter to run at hiway speeds. It just has no zip at all. While checking compression it is only about 125 psi. So after doing some reading and such with the 257cc I had seen that should be a quite a bit higher. As many issues as I had when I first got this scooter with keeping the air cleaner tub to stay on I am thinking that the previous owner had the same issue and basically ended up running sand through the engine and pretty much killing the engine. So enough of the rambling.
I need a bit of help locating some documentation for this motors Torque specs. I have the top end rebuild kit ordered from Scrappy should be here in a week. Then it will be a matter of trying to get some time to pull apart the scooter and GIT R DONE.. sorry watching Larry the cable guy right now.
Thanks in advance.
Todd

Jr, I am pretty sure that my issue is low compression on my Roketta. So doing a top end rebuild is what I am thinking of doing. Do you have any links to some good Top end kits including the 300 BB kit. This might just be right up my alley.
Now if I go with the big bore kit do I need to change out CDI or are they the same also?
Thanks, Todd

Thanks guys. Was a great day yesterday. Went out Geocaching with my Dad during the day. Damn near broke a leg I fell on a Steep hill side on the wet slippery snow drove my knee right into the ground. All is good though figured i was going to be real stiff today but it is not at all little bit of a bruise that is it. Went out last night for my Favorite Super Club for Prime Rib Buffet last night.

Merry Christmas Everyone.
We have been unseasonably warm around here. 40 degrees on Christmas is not normal. We really do not have any snow to speak of. Makes me want to go get the scooter out and go for a ride...

Thanks Cruis yes that was the second site. The first site I had does not Sell whole motors anymore so did not feel it was even worth posting.

I will try and dig up the links I had when I was looking. I have redone my computer recently so not sure if I saved all my links.

That bar may be there to prevent splash back out of the tank but causes more hastle then it is worth.

Hey Todd can you tell us where you finally got one? Man this one is tough. JR I didn't. There was no way I was going to put out almost $1000 for a motor. I Bought all the parts and Rebuilt my motor completely. New Crank Piston and head.

I was actually looking for one last year when I had to rebuild my Jonway. I needed a long transmission and it was damn near impossible to find. And when i did find they wanted $999 bucks every where for it.

Once you pull the CVT cover off it should tell you what Length your scooter has on the belt
