Welcome to U-Scoot, iker. I would think you are probably the most experienced scootist in this forum and maybe many others. You must have many interesting scoot stories under your belt. Maybe even a scooting memoir.

I have no wheel play in any direction on my scoot. Please do all of the suggestions above as it sounds like something serious could happen especially if something is getting loose.

Nice job. Let us know how your semi hardtail mod works out. It will probably make the rearend feel a lot more stable without really hurting the ride.

Good to hear about a friend who can give you a hand, speedracer. I'm sure there are no factory trained Chinese scooter mechanics on this forum. We are all learning and sharing our knowledge and we are here to encourage and help each other in our scooting endeavors. It's good to share what you consider a booboo to help other members out. I feel that there is nothing wrong with your scoot and you will have many happy miles on it this summer.

The 5 digit number letter combo is usually printed right on the bearing. Using a pair of calipers to measure the dimensions of the bearing can also be done to ensure compatibility.

Thanks for the invite, Aaron. I'm in Westport which is as far south as you can go in Massachusetts. Here's another view of the scoot:

To clarify:
1. The black wire connected to the negative terminal of the battery goes to ground (the scooter frame).
2. Black wires (smaller gage) which are found in other areas of the scooter have 12 volts and are ignition switch controlled.
3. Green wires which are found in different areas of the scooter are also ground wires which eventually are attached to the frame

The black wire from the battery is a ground. That elusive 15 amp fuse has to be located somewhere between the ignition switch and the battery. Although not an ideal location, it might be up near the ignition switch (like an afterthought).

I agree with JR, on the size of that chain, bong. That must be one heavy set and most of our scoots would take a performance hit just carrying it around.

Welcome to the forum, fellow New Englander. Nice looking scoot. I hope you have great success with it.

Yea, that's an odd one, JR. I noticed this also that there is no bushing included with the part so one would think that the bushing is ordered separately. I'm wondering if it's possible to remove just the rubber piece and press in a new one? I'll be googling on this one too.
