Good Job Class!!!! (As I pretend I knew the answer). There are some really cool 2T scoots in the UK Aerox, Aprillia SSr have 2T l/c engines. The emissions prevent them from coming to the USA. That's why everyone switched to 4 strokes. The Genuine Stella serves as a good example. This little engine had a few people on a 2stroke forum going crazy trying to figure out what it is. If it's OK with you Cruiser I would like to share this info with them and put up that link. Giving credit to you of course!!! I have no objections, Bong. I'm real curious to see if Roketa is really going to sell this model.

Water cooled 2T's are very common overseas. I guess there hasn't been much of a market here for high performance two stroke scooters, so we were denied these beauties. This particular 50cc 3 valve engine was designed to give the same performance as the water cooled 2 stroke while having lower emissions.

Looks like a water cooled 2T to me. The water pump is in the place normally occupied by the cam chain and tensioner.

The filter you have is certainly popular and can give a performance boost with the right carb tuning.
The primary function of the airbox besides being a place to mount the air filter is to protect the air filter from outside elements. If you go with an aftermarket filter like the one pictured, then you should have some kind of cover to keep the filter dry unless you plan to ride only in good weather. Cover the filter or change to a setup that has the cover.
I use a K&N filter in my 250cc scoot. It fits inside the stock airbox, so water is not a problem.

You are welcome, grasshopper, I mean gatekeeper. As you progress through the educational offerings of U-Scoot you will in time develop your mental acumen. Seriously though, my VIP50 does the same thing as your NST.

I tend to agree with flyangler. Did you replace the precharger filter to see if the problem went away? If it does, then I definitely agree with flyangler.

Believe it or not, both charging conditions are more or less normal for a Chinese 50cc scoot. The higher voltage condition is what will happen as the battery reaches full charge. In this case the R/R allows over charging instead of reducing the charging voltage. The second case shows a battery which is not fully charged and the voltage is drawn down while the heavier charging current is drawn into the battery. As the battery charges, the voltage will eventually reach the higher values you saw earlier.
In other words, the R/R does not regulate very well and that seems to be the norm for most of these scoots.

Welcome to U-Scoot, scootermike74820. It should make a noticeable difference if you're upgrading from 125cc. If from 150cc, then you might not notice a difference. Let us know a little more about your scoot and we can give more advice.
