will this bolt on kit really make any difference to my scooter?

Welcome to U-Scoot, scootermike74820. It should make a noticeable difference if you're upgrading from 125cc. If from 150cc, then you might not notice a difference. Let us know a little more about your scoot and we can give more advice.
