Try vaseline to hold gaskets for the intake side off engine. The intake manifold (engine side) should need silicone to hold them or a thin coat of heavy engine oil.

I took the scooter out yesterday and opened her up wide and it seemed like she was not getting enough fuel. Let it sit 24 hrs and put her up on center stand> started fine, let it warm up 4 min. Opened it up and it seemed to do the same for a min. or so. Then it took off like a bat out of hell. No problems. I then went to town with no problems. I bought some gum-out in the skinny Btl. put a little in the tank and topped it off for GP. Hope to head off future problems. I will be changing the fuel lines and vac hoses. What is the best fuel filter for the Taotao 50cc 2012 model?

PARKING

I'm trying to figure out a better parking situation here at the apartment complex. I sometimes have no place to park my scoot. I requested one of the neighbors that dosent move his truck much to park nearer one end, where I can get in and out easy and access the side walk when I need to. He told me" tough I dont care!" I said ok, have a good evening and he flipped me off. What a wanker. One day he will need something and I will respond in kind! Live and let Die man!

cooling your neck will help also. Major blood vessels to the brain. I put some dry beans in a long sock with Hair ties here and there to help keep them in place. This is cheaper than jell packs and reusable as well. PS also the beans are good for reducing swelling with strained ankles and they can be microwaved a few seconds and used as a heat pack. Rice works as well.

any RVers ?

I traveled Kansas and that state has road side rest stops that are free to camp at, They allow tents as well. I love to sleep out in a tent even with the RV. The stops are well lit and patrolled by cops a bit. Soda snacks and nice rest rooms as well. Whats in Kansas Well quite a bit I assure you. Go to the library and you can do all the book research you need. Good Luck ;D

what is the max weight on a Taotao 50cc? The tag says 250 front and back. Is this 500 max? I weigh 220 and I take the wife to work once in a while she weighs 98 Lbs soaking wet. How much damage am I doing? I warm it up to operating temp, Upgrades? I plan on CDI, spark plug, coil, drive belt, air box change to cone shaped pleated race style, CVT weights (what would be best to use with the weight load?) I'm going to go to a synthetic oil (weight and brand?) And I will be changing fluids @75% of scheduled millage. I thought a ceramic variater I had seen on line might give better performance.

TaoTao 50 cc

Well I replaced the fuel line, and well, I remembered something someone told years ago, I used a closet dowel and tapped it ever so gingerly twice right on the top, shook the bike and bounced the rear end off the ground a few times. Put the key in and it fired right up NO Fuel problems at all. I have since put another 100 miles on it. I know I got lucky and would not have tried it except it only had 100 miles on it when the problem started. If I thought I was dealing with a gummed up mess I would not have tried it.
