I get spark but it very dim. But as I'm going threw looking at everything my instrument cluster isn't lit and I'm not getting any fuel. But can you explain the harness to me starting with the ignition switch(red green black black white) kill switch (red/white, green) start button green/yellow,red yellow) head light(brown green blue white) instrument cluster( black brown green blue orange) alarm(red black green blue orange red/yellow yellow black and a black wire from the top which I guess is ground? Ignition switch Red = 12Vdc from the battery Black = 12 Vdc out with key on Green = ground Black/White = ignition kill wire to the CDI. Now on the Kill switch and the start button I need close up pictures of them with the wires exposed good enough where I can see the colors and what they are contacted to. There are standard colors like Red/yellow = negative side to the starter relay solenoid but the Chinese are bad about using just any color to jump from the kill switch to the start button. Some systems are made as to if the kill switch is off the scooter won't make a sound when you hit the start button, others are made that when the kill switch is off the engine will turn over when you hit the button but it won't start? By looking at your switches I can determine which one you have and better tell you what color wire goes to what. Head light standard colors are Brown = headlight switch or dimmer switch power feed from R/R Blue = hi beam lights White = low beam lights Green = ground On the instrument cluster Black = 12vdc with key on Brown = power feed from R/R to instrument lights Orange = left blinker indicator light Blue = right blinker indicator light. The alarm? I would discontinue it. JR

Well now I have it to where I hit the start button the starter engages I can see the fly wheel(variator) turnING which I guess activate's the stator I'm guessing because I see the fan spin but it doesn't start. Plus do I need to have some of my green wires grounded to the frame or directly to the battery Both and also you need a ground wire to the engine too. Most scooters have a jumper wire usually black from one of the fan cover bolts to the frame at the place where the negative battery cable hooks up. Without proper grounding you'll not have a spark, Did you check to see if the spark plug is sparking? JR

Wow! That's a 50cc scooter with a 11 pole stator. That is not OEM and someone installed a 11 pole stator and now has the lights running off the battery and that explains the lights coming on when you turn the key on? So now you say it won't make a sound when you hit the start button?

It does make a difference rich46 in the picture format like jpg, jpeg etc so if this is not what a Ipad does then it could be the problem? JR

Ok smart6316 can you tell me the year and model of this scooter? Also it looks like a 150cc. 99% of scooters will only have the headlight come on when the scooter is running so knowing the year and model will help such as a 2008 Tank 150cc or such. Say running brake light you are meaning the tail light and not the brake stop light that only lights up with a brake lever pressed? JR

smart6316 It would appear that the wiring has been pulled apart and is a mess for sure. Here is a standard GY-6 150cc wiring diagram and it will work with the exception of the stator to R/R wiring which on your scooter is a 11 pole type which is 3-phase which means that you have 3 yellow wires coming from the stator to the R/R. Use this diagram to start tracing out and wiring the scooter to the proper functions except for the R/R: I'll post another image for the stator to R/R and CDI. Is this the original R/R to the scooter? I cannot see all of the wires on the R/R and their colors so I need to know the exact number of wires and their color to help get it wired correctly. JR

oldgit1 The rectifier has nothing to do with it starting, is for charging only. But as you stated you do have to have pick up coil voltage to tell the CDI when to fire. Let me know what you find out on the pick up coil. JR
