I've had this Scooter for about 2 1/2 months. Couldn't work on it much as wife had knee replacement surgery. With all that now I have a Scooter that won't start. When I first got I inadvently had the battery wires reversed. Now I have replaced the regulator, and spark plug. Still won't start. I do not see anything that would keep it from starting. I really would like to get this machine running. Need some expert help. Anything would be appreciated.

Have you checked the fuses?. By not starting do you mean that it will turn over and not fire?. It could be any number of things but since you stated that you crossed the battery connections it could be as simple as blown fuses as they will blow in a situation like that. They are your first line of defense from electrical shorts etc. A few other things come to mind like a bad cdi, coil, kickstand switch etc. Check all the fuses first. Let us know how it went.

I'm looking for the fuse box. I found the main fuse on the battery. I know there has to be more than one fuse? Also, thanks so much for your help. I'll let you know my progress.

Not familiar with your scoot. My Roketa comes in two versions. Mine has a fuse on the red wire from battery + to the ignition switch, and also a fusebox under the seat (have to remove the little engine access hatch) with several fuses for various parts of the electrical system. The other Roketa version has just one fuse, built into the starter solenoid, as far as I know from what I've read here. Your scoot may be completely different from either of those; scout around here and on the Internet for a wiring diagram. Might not tell you where to FIND it, but should tell you whether you even HAVE a fusebox.

Does anyone know where the fuses are on a 2014 BMS EFI 260cc Scooter?
I found the one between the battery posts but I beleive there has to be more fuses.

does it turn over at all? or just nothing?,,,if nothing take an old screw driver and cross the two large terminals on the solenoid to see if she'll turn over at least

Hi Scotty,

I haven't had to change any yet, so I can't tell you the exact location, but here's a copy of my wiring diagram from the user manual. It shows a few fuses. Hope this helps.

Started a few seconds with starting fluid!

Will start for a few second with starting fluid? Then it quits. I'm thinking about draining the 2gallons of fuel (87 octane) and put 93 octane in? The manual calls for at least 90.

since it will start with starting fluid, then it sounds like a fuel delivery problem. could be a clogged fuel filter or a faulty fuel pump. or maybe even just a piece of trash in the line.

I thought about all that but then I come back to its a brand new Scooter and I assume it was tested. There is no fuel shut off or on that I could find, and no clutch,  But it has to be something simple. I put regular gas in it about 4 or 5 weeks ago. Bad gas? Very confused!

Responding ONLY to the octane thing, octane in China does not equal octane in US. Different system. US 87 octane is fine for most China scoots. Don't sue me if I'm wrong, but unlikely US 87 will cause you any problems. You can google lots of info on different octane ratings if you like.

Could be the filter,,or the pump,,,I'd be checking fuses first thing

Seems like all you'd need to do to check for fuel flow is pull the fuel line off the carb and crank the scooter -- if fuel squirts, all good. Of course if yours is EFI, pulling the line "off the carb" is inaccurate, pull it off whatever it connects to. Not familiar with the parts of a scooter EFI system.
