Why can't we pick one design for a forum and use it. We are always changing the look and feel of the page. We must be Microsoft and the XP....7....8... and beyond. Just a question....Thanks...

I was thinking that JR recently posted that he was going to experiment with some changes and then either accept or toss them.
Your feedback was just what he was looking for. I really did not like the alternating each post idea, but maybe some would like it.

I like it on the LEFT Also JR is testing putting some color on the background so the BLUE lettering will show up better the all white makes it hard to read  . Alleyoop |

Yes guys this is exactly what I'm looking for feedback. I'm going to leave the profiles on the left as we used to have them. Remember some of these changes I can control by the script and what they call plugins by using them or not.
But some of this layout is Proboards by default and I can't change it just like I had no choice to do this software upgrade.
And also a reminder, no matter what PB forum you are on it will be upgraded to this new V5. One can do it now by choice like I did or wait until December and it'll automatically be done for you. I chose to do it now and work the bugs out before Christmas.
Yes Alley mentioned color change and I'm open to suggestions on that too and when I say this I mean the background. Blue is my color for this forum and I'm not changing that.

OK folks as you can see I've been working on the color scheme of things and I'm hoping this is close. My forum has always been a base blue scheme and I've used mostly a white back ground. But I've had some say that on this new software the white makes things hard to read so I've laid out 3 back ground colors. The background behind the main forum is a very light blue and I think it highlights well. On the main forum page I went to a light gray and on the thread posting pages I have a light gray and a light yellow which these two rotate. I can go either all gray here or all yellow or roate like I am doing now? I'm going to tweak the button a little more and hope it is good. feed back please? JR  |

The gray in your respond looks good brings out the letters and easy on the eyes. Can you move the Date when people post on the post side to the TOP maybe all the way to the left of the box it will bring you eyes to it to find one that has responded. It sort of gets lost and hard to see who has a new post.

I haven't had any issues so far other than the pages load slower than they used to. I was even able to create my own avatar without any problems.

NO JR, on the main Page, all the way on the right LAST POST info.
People come on and want to see if any of the Sections and Threads had any recent posts and being the last of the info gets lost and hard to focus on.
