OK JR, here is 12 point per the choices given. And here is 14 point again by choices given.
Between your font choices and mine there seems to be a big difference in size. Why not go for 12. .

OK JR, here is 12 point per the choices given. And here is 14 point again by choices given.Between your font choices and mine there seems to be a big difference in size. Why not go for 12. . The font size I have to work with in the forum script is set by default by the software provider Proboards and when I used the 12pt it made some things in the headers and mini profile get to large and want to overlap. I don't want to spend a ton of time re-arranging the widths of this and that to accommodate this at this time. 11pt is bigger than the 10pt they set it up with and doesn't have the issues I mentioned. I'll call it a happy medium and I do appreciate seeing things better, have worn glasses for 50 years and deal with bi-focals too. The font size choice button you used to show these different font sizes have nothing to do with the forum layout, that is in the script templates and believe me one has to be careful when editing the templates. Over all I think things are coming together nicely and I'm still open to any suggestions that any of you have, your ideas mean a lot to me. JR

JR, your use of 11 font will have to work if it is all that works without making a mess. I am on several forums under the same vendor. I will look at them to see just how well they set up, for my interest only. .

Flinstone you can easily put a photo in your signature. Wherever you host your pictures just go and reduce the height to 150 pixels or less and then put it in .

Hey JR,bobf, alley, the forum text and page is terrific---beautiful color and layout---perfect text size and spacing--this is what I am talking about--excellent--thanks ,fflintstone Flintstone, I have eyes that need some support. If you think 10 or 11 are sufficient, fine for you. I don't consider 10 or 11 to be 'perfect' at all. I was attending a forum that recently went through a change and they then came back with what I think was 12 on the house side and 12 on the user side as well. Easy to read for both sides. I was just looking to see if all could see it but for now they are shut down. Said they would come back one day. My complaints are for my eyes, and others with not so great eyes. JR has problems so I will let this concern sit for now. Perfection is a very personal conclusion. I can work with this setup but would like a more easy to read text. Since JR can't increase his size to 12, then all responses done in 12 would make things a lot easier for some of us not so perfect to read. .

bobfBob could I make a suggestion that might help some? I do this myself and it's setting my screen at 125% instead of the normal 100% as far as screen resolution size. This also helps on everything you go to. Question? Do you have a problem on the current V4 forum Doc? reason I ask is I just copied and pasted their text against this and it appears to be the same? A old trick to make your text bigger is hitting the ctrl + at the same time and it immediately increases the text size for better reading. To reduce it back hit ctrl- JR

Thanks JR, I seldom do those 'tricks' that you suggest, never think of them. Yes I do have problems often and need to get my face closer to the screen to make out the words.
On reading posts such as these I seldom think to change my text. But often when reading long articles I will expand the pages two or three times to make the stuff readable. But on short paragraphs I just never seem to remember. .

Yeh--I can read this now--looks like about size 12 to me but it may be a little smaller--it was about an 8 when I complained first time so this is a much better improvement in text size--but it did have a kinda of a pale blue background at first when JR fixed it and it brought out the text a little better ,i think--also ,Jr got the right idea, ctrl + will help--thanks all for the response--it is still close to perfect for me--happy trails, fflintstone

OK, I have found a way to change the size of text on my machine, and the size increase is remembered even after a shut down and restart.
I use Firefox, not MS, and in the upper left corner there is a link called 'View'. Click on it and one choice is 'Zoom'. Click on it an you see more choices and if you click on 'Zoom in', 'Zoom out', 'Zoom text only', 'Reset', things will change for you.
I used 'Zoom In', twice I think, and now I have no problems reading the text. I was surprised to find that it was still zoomed the next day when I signed in. Something for folks to try if having a problem reading the forum.
So JR can stop fiddling with font sizes and we can correct by ourselves. I never us MS and I know lots of others don't either. So if you use Firfox this will be a help for you. .
