I just removed the old notice of the new V5 software upgrade that out software provider Proboards is doing.

The deadline date is December of this year and while that may seem a long time away it's actually not far off.

I've been working on a test forum for some time now doing this and that mainly trying to make the new site user friendly as much as I can and adding features to make the better V5 system even that much better.

It's a known fact that a lot of people were/are happy with the current version V4 and most people are very comfortable using it and it's easy to learn even for a total newbie.

V5 has a lot of the same features you're used to plus bonus features but navigating can be let's say different at times to accomplish the same things you do here now. That's another reason I copied this forum a time back to a test board.

One can post and do anything there that you can here but please do not as far as trying to get help or just everyday talk because this test forum along with all PB test forums will disappear in December.

But I would like all members to go to the test site go through the login procedure and just make a post or even ask about how to do this or what is this or that on this thread.

Now to login if you are a member here you will need to know the email address that you used to register with here on this forum. If you don't have it you will not be able to sign in. After doing the sign in one time you'll be able to login as usual from then on.

I hope to see all of you there and let me know if you need help.

Just tried to register at the new location. It has rejected my own password, twice, so I came back here to ask why, and what should a person do now?

Bob the first time it generally asks for your email that you registered with then it asks for your password. I will PM you with the email that is on that site.

[replyingto=admin]JR[/replyingto]Well, it did set me up with a email address, then I added my password and hit enter. Got a message that my password had failed. Did that twice with no luck.

Will try again maybe, tomorrow.

If you do send what you expect of my email I will try that if different from what I was shown today.

I went, it asked for my name and my password which I gave it and it let me in with no problem. Did not leave a message. o)) o))

[replyingto=bobf]bobf[/replyingto]I went back and tried again. I entered my name 'bobf' and a password. So then it showed me a box with my email address in it. Below was another box asking for my Pro board password. So I tried the same password as I had just used and was refused. So I looked at my notes and found a Pro Board password, which was different. I was then accepted and now I am awaiting the acceptance note from the board.

So that was likely my problem before. It was not asking for a verification of the first password that I used but wanted a different one instead.

I will make some fresh notes and see if I can stay active.

Good going guys and I posted over there answering Flintstone last night. Please do all of you go make a reply, look at your profile and how to add your avatar etc. There are nice options there like putting in your own personal smilies etc. If you can't figure out something now is the time to ask and all of you who are going ahead to learn will be able to help those who later may need help. Again it's not hard just different.

I'll be posting how to's and such over there as well.

Got on fine, but it never asked me for my email. Posted a thread but it locked up after posting it. Haven't gone back yet to see if it actually took.
