Lost rear lights By bhinch (Read 756 times)

Have lost rear lights, but still have brake and turn. Charging has stopped and reads 11 volts, which is battery voltage. Headlights have been changed to HID's over two years ago with no charging probs till now. They are wired hot and come on when the key is turned on. The volts have been 13.5 at 5000 rpm with everything running, now just over 11 at 5000. The instrument lights work and the scoot runs and starts great. Have over 9000 miles on the clock. The scoot is a 2008 Roketa MC54B-250 Linhai. Any help will be appreciated.. Thanks....

That just happened to me last week. Check your fuse box. The fuse closest to the handle bars is it.
oops, sorry I just noticed you have the linhai model. Do they have a fuse box ?

No the LINHAI does not have a fuse box, they have a 20amp fuse on the Solenoid and a 15amp fuse on coming off the battery.

So your saying just your rear running lights do not work. Check the BLUBS the have TWO filaments one for the running lights and one for the brakes so the running lights can be blown and all you need is new bulbs. Also check the BROWN WIRES GOING TO THEM they are the ones that carry the running light JUICE.

I have the same exact same lights as yours.

Thanks for the reply....I lost the charging system also....maybe the rectifier/regulator went south. I have a trunk like yours and it is not working. I can pull the levers and get rear brake and third brake light (top light is my third brake light)and turn signals. I have instrument lights and the front running lights. The engine runs great, but I have no rear lights or charging system.... No matter how high I take the engine the volts do not change, reads battery voltage.

Sorry to hear your having trouble, not too long ago I had charging issues also, had lights but very dim. It turn out to be one of my 3 way plastic connection going to my R/R melted on me. (might be a good place to check)

I will check the connectors and see what has happened.....thanks for the reply....had a separate problem, which was I ran over a 2x4 on the highway the other morning and bent my rear wheel. It was 2:30 AM and could not avoid the big bump. So I have ordered and received a new rear wheel and tire to get back on two wheels. Life is good....

I had my tail light filament burn out and replaced it with a 1157 LED instead of a bulb

I have LED'S in both the rear turn and stop.....and HID'S for headlights....5000k...35w...H4....9003...Bi-Xenon....
love the lights....life is good...

Are they the blueish white ? Those blind me and glare so much in the rain at night . I do not hav eem but a few friends do on their cars . I have seen 2 cars with bright pink headlights that were noticeable far away but did not blind me . I have retina damage from a plasma arc

All of my lights are working....with the 6 wire R/R from .bigandlittlescooterparts.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.bigandlittlescooterparts.com ....life is good.....the R/R was the same size as the original one from Roketa. Thanks to all the scooter folks....
