Well as most of you know I had foot surgery in the first week of November. Had a hen egg size bone spur removed from the back of my heel.
First two weeks was in a temporary cast and then they put it in a hard fiberglass one. Well today she came off and man am I glad! First two steps told me how far I got to go to walk better again.
Funny thing is even though the foot is tender and weak, what bothers me most is my right knee. In 2008 I had back to back knee replacements and all this time on crutches has really taken a toll on the good left leg and knee. With all the weight and load on the let leg that knee is tired and very sore.
But today what hurts the most when I walk is the right knee! Hasn't had any weight on it in 9 weeks!
They didn't waist any time on my rehab first session is tomorrow evening so wish me luck!

Foir sure Flintstone! Well guys the first day wasn't quite as bad as I expected. My knees were a lot worse when I did them and the rehab was very painful.
But I am tired and go back tomorrow and then 3 times a week for the next 4 weeks. Got it iced down right now and got to take some tylenol or no sleep tonight.

Like they say, JR - "no pain no gain". It sounds like the operation is a success and I'm sure you will be diligent with your rehab. Speedy recovery, my friend.
