My niece (brother's daughter) makes a point every Veterans Day to send him and I an email thanking us. Some people haven't forgotten us.

No Mr. Ryan, some of us don't forget you. We may not remember to thank you ALL enough or sometimes forget what we owe you folks, but this is one person who will never forget you all.
Thank you for your service. And that's goes to all the vets out there. Thank you!

For those taking the DAV van for the ride to little rock and purchase a coffee for the ride down ........let me see you get away with paying for it! Not going to happen if the people at the store find out you are a vet going to the va in little rock they wont take money for the coffee.

Awesome video, I try to always say (thank you) when I see a soldier, they desire our respect, and those who gave their lives to keep us free, we must never forget them.

I'm glad that soldiers and new vets are getting recognized and thanked; they deserve it. But us Viet Nam vets sure got royally screwed; which included getting on. Sent from my DROIDX using ProBoards

The next time you see a soldier but sure to thank them. We do. Of course I'm a Nam vet and my son is a Nat'l Guard captain so I'm kind of biased.

In my home we do not forget. My wife, a retired Army Lt. Col., served in the first gulf war, one son is a retired USAF Major, another served 4 years in the Navy, I have a step son who recently retired from the Navy, a grand son in law serving in Korea at the moment, another considering the Air Force as a career, and a step grandson who has just joined the Army. My wifes dad was a career Army non com, and with her grand son now in the Army there have been four generations in her family who have served. Me? I was always too young, too married (with 5 kids) or to old to serve. It is one of the great regrets of my life. We owe all of you far more than we can ever repay. So on Veterans day we can at least give you the respect that you deserve. God bless you all.
