OK since you mentioned your weight and frequent starts and stops, I'll ask how many miles on it?

I had this same problem - switching the rollers out for lighter ones seemed to fix it for whatever reason. Found some cheepie 20g ones on eBay for like 8 bucks. I was more doing it to experiment with weights, but low and behold it fixed the shuddering as well.

Question? When I cleaned and replaced my roller weights, the only this I greased was the u slides and boss shaft, hopefully that was right

I think you can use a tad grease on rollers. Me personally, I didn't physically grease anything. I wiped it all down, but didn't clean it with something like carb cleaner either (so it still had an oily 'film') - but no actual new grease. I put a smidgen of grease on the shaft, but nothing on the weights, u slides, etc... for better or worse lol. I think the residual grease film that was in it will suffice. Heck if it doesn't it just gives me a good excuse to order some sliders

Most likely the Clutch Pads are glazed and are slipping at start off. You can roughen off the pads taking some of the glaze off and it then will grab the bell. Alleyoop

HI !! I pulled it apart and cleaned clutch. I took the glaze off. It lasted about 250 miles and is starting back to doing the same thing. I hope i will have time this next week to go back in and go through it all. I'm going to try the roach powder JR talked about. One thing strange about it first time u ride each day for about 4 04 5 miles it does not shake as bad. After a while it shakes the trunk on the back pretty bad. I had a brake lock up on my truck and it got the drum real hot. I cleaned up the brake shoes and put it back together. It was ok for about 4 or 500 miles then it did almost the same thing as the scooter does when u used the brakes. I had the drum turned and the problem went a way. I let u know what i do and if it worked. Thanks for all the help from everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

The "shakes" have returned on my YY250T again as well. I have changed the variator sliders down to an 18g (which feels better) and the last time i was in there we sanded down the spring arms. short of upgrading the whole clutch, im running out of ideas.
Does the roach powder really work or is it another temp fix?

Paul, At what rpms does the scoot start to move, you may need a performance clutch that has about an inch of more pad on each arm to grab more of the bell. Here is what I mean look at the Performance Clutchs PAD compared to the OEM PAD: Alleyoop

ALLEYOOP the clutch starts to pull at 2400 rpm when u first ride it. After 10 to 15 miles it starts trying to pull at 2100. That is when it begins to shake. U can feel it catch and slip and catch again? Thanks Paul

Yea that is really low rpms 2100 shit a lot of the 250 like to IDLE at 2000 rpms. So just a little over an IDLE setting is not enough to put a lot of pressure on the pads to hold the bell. You could just try 1000k springs on the clutch since it appears the springs are weak and will FLY out at really low rpms. Or you could just get new OEM springs, Worth a shot and they are cheap compared to a brand new clutch. Alleyoop
