My YY250T quit the other day, Looks like the flywheel spun on the crankshaft. I just bought a 07 Reflex to take its place. We are full time RVers currently located in southern CA. The scooter is repairable but since we are in a place about a week and then move on to another I don't have a place to tear it down and wait for parts. As a result I am willing to give it to some one who will come get it. 2011 YY250T, 10,600 miles, silver color. Also a new tire included, never been used. Where we are at the moment there is neither internet or phone service. Will be in a service area by noon on Sunday April 14. If you want it you must call by 10:00 AM Monday the 15 and pick it up (in the Beaumont area) by noon Friday the19th. I have a clear title. You can call (702) 610-1992 and leave a message or personal message me here. I think I am correct that this model is not CARB approved. If no contacts me by 10:00 Monday I will leave it with the dealer where I bought the Reflex. If you would like to give me a little something for it that would be nice too.

Something in the lower end let go that causes it to lock up. I pulled the valve cover and the cam and chain are OK. It will crank two or three rounds and then lock up. I turned the engine backwards with a wrench and it frees up only to lock up again. Since we are full time RVers and move to a different place every week it will be hard to tear down and wait for parts. Can't haul it unless it is assembled. Maybe I should just look for a good used Honda Reflex so it would fit my carrier. Also what ever it is keeps the engine from trying to start, it has always started instantly.

Sorry, I forgot to give more info. 2011 YY250T 10600 miles, oil is fine and full, just very recently changed. coolant full, didn't get hot. Spark plug color good. CFMoto engine. I'm almost certain it is a timing chain failure probably caused by tensioner failure. I'll pull the valve cover tomorrow or Tuesday and report what I find. Valves were adjusted approx. 500 miles ago.

Looks like I have a timing chain issue. Last evening I went for a ride through the beautiful mountains north and east of San Diego. After a few miles I turned around to go back to the RV park. Suddenly it started to buck and jump, then it would smooth out only to do it again. After several cycles of that it just quit. After getting it back "home" I found I could turn the engine backwards with a wrench but if it was turned forward it locked up. Engine never ran hot, oil is fine-just recently changed. I suppose the next thing is to pull the valve cover and look at the chain from the top. Any suggestions? Oh yes, I had noticed that the engine was making more noise that it did before , in fact my wife had just mentioned that it was not as quiet as it used to be. Had been unable to pinpoint the noise, Now we know what it was.

I used 90 wt synthetic gear oil on the bearing so that is what got on the bell. Could not have been more than two or three drops at most.

I have seen this complaint several times and have experienced it myself. I found the solution (at least for me) by accident. I'm sure there are those who will disagree but it works super well. In servicing my 250 I put a few drops of 90 wt gear oil on the needle bearing in the clutch assembly. Two or three drops found their way to the surface of the bell. No more stutter. No it does not slip , it takes hold just as it should but no chatter or stutter. That was more that 5000 miles ago and it still works perfectly. I didn't do it on purpose but if it ever returns next time will be on purpose.

I have a YY250T also and all I did was pull the panel in front of the windshield off, then twist and remove socket and bulb.

We were part timers for about 10 years, now we are full timing soon be two years. Been in 46 of the lower 48. Missed Delaware and RI. Have no plans to back to catch them. We have a 33 foot Winnebago with a rack for the YY250T and tow a Smart behind that. In the last year and a half we've been in 31 states. Just following the good weather. Terrilee, sorry about your extended vacation!

Hi Bob. We are full time RVers presently in the greater Tucson areal Nice riding weather. We will be passing through Palmdale in a couple of weeks. Have friends with a place at Lake Hughes that we want to visit.

I emailed them and they say that 29" windshield has been discontinued. 25" is the one they sell now. He didn't know why it was discontinued because they sold a lot of them. I would order one if they still had it, may order the 25".

I had a ZN150T, great bike. Only thing I ever had to do to it was adjust the valves. Now my son and daughter-in-law have it. Strong running machine.
