Anybody know where I can get a carburetor for my Aleous 300?. I have looked at several but cant really tell which is the right one?. There is always something a little different on each one I have looked at?. I haved cleaned my old one but something is not right. I decided to go ahead and get a new one. Thanks Mine is a 32mm carb. I saw one on scrappydogs site that is close. The linkage appears to be the difference on most of the ones I have looked at along with the placement of the idle adjustment. I am willing to pay a little more than $100.00 for it just to get my baby on the road again. I am going thru withdrawals lol.

It don't sound like valves to me. Sounds like something maybe loose. Try draining your oil and see if there is any metal etc that comes out with the oil. There is a starter clutch, and other gears in there that could be loose. It is a strange sound for sure. The motor seems fine based on your video. You can take the side motor cover off and inspect the gears in there but order a new gasket set before you do or you can make your own. You will need it. To say what it really is is hard to figure.

Mine is under the right floorboard. If the fuel pump is working correctly then you should get gas even when it pumps uphill. My Aeolus 300 pumps uphill. Scotty69, You live in Pensacola?. I live in Mobile Al. We aren't that far apart.

Have you checked the fuses?. By not starting do you mean that it will turn over and not fire?. It could be any number of things but since you stated that you crossed the battery connections it could be as simple as blown fuses as they will blow in a situation like that. They are your first line of defense from electrical shorts etc. A few other things come to mind like a bad cdi, coil, kickstand switch etc. Check all the fuses first. Let us know how it went.

All I can say is bring it on. I wish all vehicles were cvt driven especially all motorcycles. Shifting gears are a pain in the butt.

Those manifolds can be a pain for sure. Most of them aren't very well made. I know from experience about these things failing and just because they appear good don't mean that they are.
p.s. You can run a small wire up into the opening of that vacuum port to make sure there isn't any blockage in there. You can check the seal of the fuel pump (assuming you have the vacuum style pump) by tightening the screws that bind it together. The can work loose also. Should be 4 screws. Just re tighten them.

Intake manifold is a sure fire suspect. They wear out quite often and can develop cracks. I just replace one on one of my scoots.

I probably have no more expertise than the next guy. I am going from experience. The 50 cc scoots may be different but on my 2 300 cc scoots I had to adjust the valves around 3600 miles on the first one and 9000 miles on the 2nd one. Of course others may think different. His problem I think is air leak related primarily as it exhibits symptoms of that.

The only things that come to mind is the obvious such as a air leak (which you probably checked already) or the enricher could be malfunctioning (Happened to me), Clogged air filter etc. Check the air box connection where it connects to the carb. It can work loose and create one big air leak ( Again happened to me) in fact that was the reason for my last breakdown, the airbox hose worked off and caused me all kinds of grief. At 1400 miles it is doubtful the valves need adjusting. You might also check your fuel filter. It might be clogged. Again you probably already knew these things. Just trying to lend a hand.

I'm hoping it is something simple but once you get things ironed out and start riding it will be well worth the effort. I bought mine for 890.00 and had to do what you are doing as it would not fire consistently and it drove me crazy. It was the dang kickstand switch all along. It was a simple fix that took trial and error to discover. Ive got 9000 miles on mine now and Ive had a hiccup or 2 along the way but I have had a blast riding it.

Thanks will check out these ideas today and see what happens. I'll also check for voltage at the CDI. 12 VDC Thanks Remember if it turns out to be your kickstand switch you will have to remember to put the kickstand up before you ride. Good luck to you. For the money you paid for the scoot you can put a few bucks in it and have a blast. Those Linhai 260 and 300 motors are strong and quick.

I forgot one other thing, Change all your fuses both in the main fuse box and on the solenoid if you have not already done so.
