Looks like the back one was just stuck closed. I popped it open and lubed it with some WD-40 and it seems to be working well enough. It isn't a huge deal because I don't really store anything in the seat since I have the trunk but I like it when everything works right! Thanks again, guys.

Thanks for the help, guys. The scoot is a MC 250 B like yours, fflintstone. I will get into it this weekend to see if I can get the latches taken care of. (Want to get the fluids all changed first)

Hi guys. Neither latch on my seat seem to be working correctly. The back one doesn't open to accept the metal loop to actually lock shut so I can't close the seat completely. Before I tear into it to try and get it functioning I wondered if anyone could tell me the easiest way to get to it. As always, appreciate the help.

I found that the fuse just off the battery is blown. I figured once I change that it should fix it. Thanks.

Thanks for all the input guys. This bike is still for sale and is about an hour and a half drive from my apartment to pick up and I found another one closer to home with only 550 miles on it that I'm going to check out first. I'll keep you posed on what direction I end up going.

I finally got the CDI in. I plugged it in and no spark. I appreciate all the help with this but I've decided it is beyond my abilities and I don't have the time or the money to keep investing in trying to get it working so I think I'm going to put it all back together and see if I can sell it as is.

Just ordered a cdi tonight. I'll let you know what happens when it comes in.

It is the 8 pin CDI. It looks like the first picture.
Out of curiosity, what is the voltage supposed to be on the black/brown wire going into the coil as well as the yellow/black wire going to the coil? Do those values have anything to do with whether or not the CDI could be bad?

Alright, I will try the CDI. Can anyone point me in a direction of where to order one for a 2008 roketa mc-62-250?

The lights do not turn on when the key is turned on. They come on when the bike is started. In addition the lights have been unplugged the whole time as I took the front off to work on the scooter. The voltage on the battery was 12.5v. No voltage change when the key is turned on. When I grab the brake the voltage goes down to 12.3v. Voltage goes to about 11.8 when I hit the starter. (The readings were all done with the multimeter on the battery terminals.)
As far as voltage from the yellow/blue wire to the CDI, it was barely registering. The highest reading I got was .3v.

I did the test and I barely got a reading and nothing over .3v.
