Sorry for the spam of threads here but something else just came up. While in idle my 2011 YY250T sounds a lot louder than it used to. Almost like it would if there was a much wider diameter muffler. Though I can feel zero impact on the way it drives as it's still very smooth. I don't see anything obvious that's happened physically. I don't smell anything out of the ordinary.
Sooo... Any ideas on why it's significantly louder than it was just last week?

So how do you make your own exactly? I'd assume just heat it up to form it how you need then drill some holes. Just not sure how to go about doing all that.

Thanks Damin I'll try and do that tonight. What type of gear oil should I get to refill? And uh... where do I fill it? I'm only about 3 weeks old on this whole scooter thing after driving a car for the last 15 years

Ok stupid question.... I've been wanting to change the gear oil but have no idea where it's located. Anyone have a picture of where the gear oil is and how to change it? (YY250T model)

Another question about my YY250T is the windshield. Not sure if anyone else experiences this but when I get to around 65-70mph, the windshield vibrates so bad from turbulence that it shakes the whole front of the bike. Are there any good alternatives or solutions to this?

Thanks for the info JR. Not sure if you saw in my other post, but I ended up buying a 13.6V 15aH 275CCR lithium iron battery. So far this thing has made all electrical on the scooter work perfect and starts up with a single tap of the starter every time even when warm.
I did do something stupid and left the ignition to the start position for a day when it was raining and it drained the battery down to about 7V, but when I hooked it up to the 2amp trickle charger, it was back to full in less than 30 minutes. I think that's one perk of these batteries is their insanely fast charge times.

Hi Iceel.
Before you do any of that, check your fuse box. The first thing I noticed on mine was the pin connecting to the fuse which controls the lights was pushed way down. So make sure those fuses are in there nice and solid. Might save you having to rip apart the bike.
After you get those rear farings off, check and make sure the connectors leading up to the R/R have all their pins pushed up to where they should be and the connections are solid. As you may have read, the problem occurred for me when one of the three pins in the connector leading to the R/R had been pushed down and I had to secure it back in place with some needle nose pliers.

LED Lights

Does anyone have a list of LED bulbs to install into a 2011 YY250T? I saw a couple threads that had the turn signals and break lights but didn't see any actual part numbers for the headlights and running lights.

So I'm not sure if I'm imagining things or not but my scooter is running better than ever with the new battery. Also so you know, the specs are 13.6V 15aH. The motorcycle store i got it from said they have yet to hear a downside to these things and say you could leave these batteries dormant for a year and it won't even lose 10% of its charge. Well I guess the only downside is the price. Got mine for $154.
The lights all seem brighter, starts up instantly every time, the ride even feels smoother. So far so good on this whole lithium iron thing.

Just installed this new lithium iron battery and the old girl started right up when I barely tapped the starter. I'll keep you all posted Attachments:

I'm back with another electrical issue with my scooter. I couldn't drive it yesterday because it was pouring rain and today I go to start it up and it's completely dead. Nothing was left on and the ignition was left in the lock position.
So what would cause the battery to completely die in one day without anything being used except the clock memory?
