since this is the forum with more mature folks, i decided to post here.
ANY RVers out there?
when i finish my "vacation" i plan on buying a 30 {?} ft RV and moving south. Never staying in one place to long, unless its a great place. ive done a little research, not alot, because i still have my vacation to do 1st. im thinking a class A
any horror stories, recommendations, what to look for, what to avoid?

Terrilee.. That is the first time I have heard of a plug causing backfire but I believe you. I like NGK plugs too but I really suspect it was not the brand but perhaps a defective plug or not tight or something. Strange but engines are always doing somnething a little strange. Good to see you are still at it. lefty2

your right , i had never heard of it either. ask the guys here, there was a thread as i tried to fix the backfire about 10-14 days later is when i noticed the plug, changed it. BAM NO MORE BACKFIRE

Happy daylight savings time everybody--I really don't look forward to it--all my clocks must be changed except my phone and atomic clock--btw,looks like we are running on regular time here on the forum...I seemed to have jumped an hour ahead but my posts are an hour behind--anyhoo,happy trails ,and may the gods of sun be with us--fflintstone go to your profile, modify profile, way at the bottom, observing DST change to YES

im gonna get laughed at for this BUT what kind of plug are you running?when i had to replace the stator, i put a regular plug in it backfired alot i tried every thing the guys said and could never find the prob. Then i did a plug chop and realized i didnt have the NGK in, put it in and no more backfire

alternator, stator, or magneto
w/e you call it, on a scoot its NOT 1/4 of the way as strong as in a car, correct?
like a car alternator will charge a battery up a lot faster than a scoot, right?

i shoulda said this in the beginning, sorry i am NOT a mech just been scooting for a few years and know the basics it does sound like a wire is off, prob on the starter relay or the relay it self is shot
im looking on the home page for a good wiring diagram for ya but cant find it yet
