This is not correct... This is a YP250 (Yamaha copy) and comes in three sizes. The CF,CH,& CN are all vertical Honda (Helix, Elite) copies and nearly identical. I don't know what differences they have...perhaps the variator as mentioned by others here. Below is some more info...
The Yamaha Linhai VOG (LH170MM) (LH173MN) is a quality, horizontal, single-cylinder, 4 stroke, liquid cooled, SOHC engine. This is a very common engine found in many scooters, quads, ATVs, buggies, and mopeds. The VOG 250 has a displacement of 249cc with a bore of 69mm and a stroke of 66.8mm. The VOG 260 has a displacement of 257cc with a bore of 70mm and a stroke of 66.8mm. The VOG 300 has a displacement of 275cc with a bore of 73mm and a stroke of 66.8mm. The transmission for all is a CVT automatic transmission. All use electric start.

I have a Roketa 50, badged as a BOSS Sport 50. I removed one of the decals on the side and it actually says Roketa underneath. Anyway, I have had my scoot up to 60 mph with the tach buried at 10K RPM! This is with a tail wind and a new belt because as the belts wear, the top speed falls off. I also drilled some holes in the air box and modified the exhaust for better flow. I can no longer get it to 60, not sure why? but I hit 55 mph on it all the time and I get a constant 150 mpg! This amazing little engine has never been touched, not even a valve adjustment and it has over 13K miles on it! I don't baby it either, I have it full throttle leaving my driveway with no warm up. I have always used Castrol 10w40 Syn-Blend which I change every 2000 miles. To this day, it doesn't use a drop of oil from oil change to oil change. Needless to say, I will argue all day long with anyone who badmouths Chinese scooters. I bought mine brand new and it has been great! I have had a few minor issues along the way which I will post about when I have more time.

It can't be the flywheel because the timing would be so far off...the scoot wouldn't run...

Hey Kevin, I just had to deal with a charging system issue on my SunL SL250-2. Mine did the same thing and a new regulator solved the problem. I also found some of my terminals were not tight. You will need to find a male terminal so you can check the fit in the female terminals. They should all be nice and snug. If not, you will need to carefully remove the terminal from the plug and squeeze it carefully with a pliers until they fit together nice and snug. You can buy a terminal release tool or use a paper clip or cotter pin?? Best Luck to ya... Josh (PartsGalore)

Hey Everyone, I'm Josh from Indio, CA.. I have a 2006 Boss 50 with over 13K miles and still running great! Then engine has never been touched, not even a valve adjustment. I get 150 mpg and the power is impressive considering the tiny 50cc engine and my 185 lbs.. I also recently picked up a SunL SL250-2 that has a bad water pump and water in the oil. The scooter looks decent and only has 1200 miles on it. I planned on selling it to make a few bucks... but I love driving it so much... I hope I can't get my asking price LOL. I'm looking forward to sharing info ...both problems and successes. I have been a mechanic all my life but I'm not super experienced with scooters.... yet. I'm hoping I'll be able to help some of the less experienced guys to keep their scoots on the road. Happy Riding... Josh
