I wonder what is the expected top speed of a Chinese made 50cc scooter.
I ask as I drive conservatively -for no other reason than driving in China is sheer madness and generally unsafe at any speed -but there are times when I am on a highway and can open it up or the rare occasions when I am on a road with no other vehicles around.
My speedo is in kph and I used a conversion table for accurate mph ( and as an American I really never learned the metric system...).
I usually drive at a max 60kph -37 mph. There are times I take it to 70kph - 43.5 mph. It does go faster but I seldom do it.
The scoot is obviously unrestricted - it came that way.
So how fast can it go? Not that I really want to go faster.

A stock 50cc scoot is usually lucky to hit 40 " though some do " . A stock 150cc will do 55mph if tuned correctly. The problem is that many of these scoots have inaccurate speedometers that read much faster then actual speed . 43.5 mph is not impossible but I would check your speed with gps to varify that .

Hard to know really how fast a 50cc scooter in china will go because theirs are not restricted whatsoever. The ones imported to the U.S are restricted in many ways due to the EPA and regulations. It may also be the ones in china have more displacement than the ones imported to keep them 30-35 mph due to regulations.
Stock 150s imported most are lucky to get to real 50mph, with some minor mods you can get them to run around 55mph. I would imagine in China the 150s will get up in speed for the same reasons as their 50cc scoots. Alleyoop

The displacement on the 150cc scoots sold in china are the exact same as the ones sold here in the U.S . We have the emissions crap here atleast on some . My 2006 had no emissions . Mine did an easy 55 mph on a straight run stock , and I was lucky to have an accurate speedo . A few quick mods like a Koso variator , longer belt , lighter weights got me up to 60 mph .

I have a Roketa 50, badged as a BOSS Sport 50. I removed one of the decals on the side and it actually says Roketa underneath. Anyway, I have had my scoot up to 60 mph with the tach buried at 10K RPM! This is with a tail wind and a new belt because as the belts wear, the top speed falls off. I also drilled some holes in the air box and modified the exhaust for better flow. I can no longer get it to 60, not sure why? but I hit 55 mph on it all the time and I get a constant 150 mpg! This amazing little engine has never been touched, not even a valve adjustment and it has over 13K miles on it! I don't baby it either, I have it full throttle leaving my driveway with no warm up. I have always used Castrol 10w40 Syn-Blend which I change every 2000 miles. To this day, it doesn't use a drop of oil from oil change to oil change. Needless to say, I will argue all day long with anyone who badmouths Chinese scooters. I bought mine brand new and it has been great! I have had a few minor issues along the way which I will post about when I have more time.
