So as far as the air box goes this tube goes between the carb and air box. I modified mine and put a flex able tube in because it would not ever stay connected the ruber piece that goes in the plastic tube would keep coming out. My mod works very well. Connection at carb. Connection at air box. (bit hard to see)

Heck once you take the plastic off the first 10 or so times it will become second nature. Heck the first year I had my Jonway I think I had the Plastic off the scooter more than it was on it. Now I can pretty much strip all the plastic off it in less than half an hour. but can u do it blindfolded, in the dark Terri You are probably right about that.

Question... Would this work for the headlights? I'm not too familiar with the specs but I like the blue effect. I dont think anyone sells LED Headlights yet. A Lot of us have Upgraded our headlights to HIDs for the purpose of conserving power since they only draw 35 WATTs and the fact that they are about 50% brighter. If you do any night driving this is HUGE. The stock headlights SUCK at night. Since you are an Electrical guru this will be an easy upgrade for you to do since the wiring is very minor to do the actual upgrade.

One thing you can check without taking major plastic off is pop off the battery/carb cover under the seat. Then start up and you should be able to see or glide your hand around WITHOUT touching the pipe to see if the leak is there. Also should be able check while it is cool if the clamp is tight around where it connects to the manifold at the HEAD. You may not be able to reach it from the top. My bottom picture shows the exhaust hook up with no plastic on. But On this motor it is pretty easy to get to with the plastic on to check to see if that clamp is loose.

I am thinking you have a loose muffler clamp by the header. Or the Gasket by the header. Either way you probably want to fix it as you do not want that exhaust blowing directly back as could potentially get to hot and melt some things that should not be melted if you know what I mean.

Ok stupid question.... I've been wanting to change the gear oil but have no idea where it's located. Anyone have a picture of where the gear oil is and how to change it? (YY250T model) Sorry I do not have much time but will try and put a quick blurb in. In the picture above you can see the gear lube coming out this is the drain bolt. The open bolt hole above the the filler hole. To get to this you must remove the 2 bolts that hold on the CVT cover. Once the cover is off you will see the bolts I am talking about. On the yy250t you just fill it until the lube starts coming back out. Hope that helps.

Alley if it is in the little solid plastic piece like I think it is then you can't put washers on the top? But if you can remove the needle from the holding piece and it has a snap ring on it then for sure you're right put washers on the top and lower it. But if it is indeed rich then I'm thinking down jet just a tad and allow for putting washers on to raise the needle? Also since this is not the OEM carb the needle set up is different? He might want to look at the OEM carb and see if he can use that needle? On my linhai carbs they were the notched needles and could easily be dropped a notch or two but they came set in the full richest settings which really surprised me. JR This is the OEM Diaphragm as far as I know. and it was not eactly the same as the one I took out. I may just look at getting a New carb and get rid of this thing I got from SCRAPPY since it is the second one that had a bad diaphragm.

WELL 100% on the right path now. I have made no adjustments since last night. Like I had said in a previous post I will not have this scooter for a few weeks as I borrowed it to a friend of the family to use to practice for his MC test. Well my dad has been helping me work on this thing for over a year every step of the way. He came down from his place with the trailer today to pick it up I had told him before he puts it on the trailer to take up north take it out for a ride. Well he did he gave me a call and was WOW I think we finally got it. He went out on the main road headed out of town he was up over 56 mph and still had throttle left. That alone is 100% improvement all previous runs full throttle got around 48 mph at full throttle.....
So after it comes back will do some carb work...... Thanks.
Still debating on getting rid of though....

Popping on acceleration.
How do I fix it.
I am thinking since it was so cool out that the enricher might not have been fully settled. So I will wait until I get it back and it is warmer will get it a bit warmer to see if situation changes a bit. So since it is going away for awhile will test more when it gets back. Just hoping we are on the right path now.
